Omg. I’m not the only black woman w/rosacea!!! It’s so hard. Still learning my triggers. When I have a major flare up the acne pustules come w/it. Doxycycline clears that up fast!!! 🤦🏽♀️. A mild flare up just presents super red & flush in the cheeks forehead & temples. It’s def a struggle/journey

same here, it's so depressing. I have it on my cheeks, forhead and chin.. they come nd go, and itch when I have flare ups. I really lost hope ...

I love this series you’ve created because it let’s us see that skincare isn’t a genie in the bottle, one size fits all circumstance. Also you’re doing something different! In the age of sit down watch a Elle magazine celebrity skincare routine and judge, what you’re doing is actually helpful. It’s clever and real world knowledge and examples. I love this series!

She should use vanicream products, especially their facial wash. Their products are lovely for sensitive skin. Also cetephil has a rosacea night time moisturizer that works wonders on black skin. It has liquorice root and many other great ingredients. Of course everything I’ve mentioned, is fragrance free. I hope she sees this comment.

Whitney is lovely and appreciate her sharing her skincare journey/routine. Re: hydroquinone going away, Dr Dray addressed this in a video a couple of months ago. She did a drugstore shopping video a month ago on some alternatives to get once it's no longer available OTC. So if you like a particular hydroquinone product, you should probably get it while it's still on the shelf.

OMG!!! Yes, the rash on the temples! I’ve been bingeing on this channel, along with Dr. Dray, Dr. V and Dr. Alexis and self-diagnosed rosacea yesterday, but hearing you mention the temple’s really resonated with me. And yes...everything stings. I’m in the process of repairing my skin barrier and meet with a dermatologist next week. Thank you for sharing your story, and thank you to The Style and Beauty Doctor for bringing this issue to the forefront. You have no idea what a blessing it is to see your journey and hear about your regimen.

For the past few months I have 😩 been really dealing with (what I think is) some "stress eating, crappy food ingesting, all-nighter studying (no sleep), hormonal acne". Honestly, in addition to other stuff...it is starting to get to me. And I know I need to keep my hands off of my face but I am so preoccupied about it that I find myself touching it all the time. So all that to say...thank you for this series, Danielle. Thank you for not being stingy! You've shared so much knowledge ❤ and it's appreciated. Also, it was your informational videos that got me wearing SPF...every day! Now...on to find a way to make my skin happy.

Hi Danielle & Whitney, Thanks for the informative video! I've had sensitive rosacea-prone skin for years and it's so refreshing to hear about how other women of colour are dealing with it. I love Dr. V and I've learned so much during the pandemic that I'm better able to listen to my skin. Will have to check out the pimple patches, moisturizer & masks Whitney raved about. Thanks for sharing your journey & recommendations! 🥰

Benzoyl and salicylic send my skin flaming🔥🔥🔥 during a flare. I have found that for the spot/area treatment Prosacea gel eliminates the breakout within hours. Even outside of flares, maybe once or twice a week ill mix a little with my moisturizer. Love this video though and all the suggestions and you sharing your story. And of course, love you Danielle!
