As an American who has visited every continent and one who has spent a lot of time around Filipina people you will not find a kinder group of people anywhere. For any guy going to the Philippines to hopefully find a wife you have the best chance of loving relationship by embracing yourself in her family because it means everything to her and you will be treated well if you do this. Learning Tagalog will make this even better. Thanks Sherlyn for reminding everyone the importance of family. I am sorry for the loss of your father but I believe with all my heart that he was proud of the woman you have become.

I've got mixed feelings watching this. U had me teary-eyed at the end, Sherlyn. U and ur family may have not been able to get/see his physical body, w/c s only temporary on this earth, but his spirit lives on/will alwys remain in ur hearts nd mind. I want u to take comfort in that, he maybe gone but never forgotten. In fact, u all got to celebrate his life (good times w him, his favorite food). Take courage nd b strong for ur family. Going abroad is a self sacrificed, giving up your happiness to give good future to your beloved family. Sometimes you are lucky that you get back home to see your family again , but sometimes due to accidents and sickness you cannot go home . Your father was not able to go back home but his love to all of you was immeasurable. Sherlyn you know the way how to help your family and continue what your Dad had started.You don't have to go abroad to earn a living.Thank God for blogging.Teach your sisters and brothers to do the same. Don't just Give them the fish but Teach them how to fish. Your audience are all the Filipinos scattered all around the globe, Millions of them. Show them the everyday life that they were born with, because truly they are missing it., " HOW They wish that they are there " Don't make your blog too fancy , just the regular daily life.
