i just had a 28cm, 7 pound gist taken off my stomach. this is my third week recovery.

@@Yes-indeed123 mine was to large to wait and try to shrink. That’s why they did surgery. I’ve been on Gleevec for a month now. We had to switch the time I took it from mornings to nights because the side effects were awful. Tell him to hang in there. I take it one day at a time. I also have COPD and heart failure. I have been in the hospital 6 times since March with fluid retention, shortness of breath, and fatigue. It’s been rough. I hope everything works out for him. Just help him anyway you can. I know he needs you now more than ever. The physical part is very hard but the mental part is devastating. I was told I will be on Gleevec for the rest of my life.

@@jimlong4182 oh my husband have has 16cm spread to liver and stomach now he took gleevec 400mg every evening with dinner so far no side effects yet and he could go back to work like 3hrs a day. How about food do you have any specific control? Hope you get better and better we will fight hard together 🙏🏻🙏🏻💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

@@Yes-indeed123 I am so nauseous most of the time. At first it was Gleevec and my other meds side effects. But it’s calmed down some what. I take two kinds of nausea meds. My big problem is shortness of breath, fatigue, and fluid retention. Now that basically is from the diastolic heart failure. Yes. We will hang in here and get thru it together. I’m so glad I can talk to someone outside of family. Their great but they annoy me sometimes. They mean well but some days I just like peace and quiet.

@@jimlong4182 now for him I cover and control all the food, vitamins ,juice,herbs. Here We have the boy soon he’s 4 years his papa have big fight for him and we send a warm hand and lots of cheering up to you💪🏼🤜🏻
