Tred Caravan Levelling Ramp review after 12 months of use.

Here is a 12 month review of the Tred caravan levelling ramps. These have been used for the last 12 months while we travel Australia. I highly recommend these for anyone looking for a new set of levelling ramps.

Hi mate Just wanted to say thanks for the in depth review. Was looking at these chocks to replace the longer cheapo yellow ones we had from our last single axle camper trailer which do not fit between the duals on our new van. Have been sort of wedging them in there a bit but have not been happy with the lift of the safety aspect of doing so. Looks like these Treds are quite hardy and your video sealed the deal with my purchase so thanks again.

Hi Scott, great video just bought some today and after watching it I noticed it says on the box not to use the green pads under the ramp . Only for van stabilizers cheers

I have noticed that but when I purchased ours they were saying you could use them to get extra height obviously they have changed that as the locating pins aren't strong enough.

1:27 hi , we have had the same issue with the anti sink plates, do the same thing locking them in for extra height. Still waiting to hear back from Tred about the replacement,but in store says they are not designed to be used under the ramp it’s only for storage. I can’t find anything Tred website now saying it can be used this way. I’m shore I seen it somewhere saying it can be used for extra height or video. But apart they are great .

Hi when I first saw these I watched a video on them and that's exactly what they said the plates were for to give you the extra height when levelling up

@@scottnuffinadventures I had the same issue. I spoke with Tred, and they said originally they did say the plates could be stacked to give extra height. However, with the issues you, me and others have faced, they now state that they are not suitable to sit under the ramps for extra height. Outside of that, agree that the Treds are great

now this might just be my caravan but I find that when using them even with the handbrake as tight as possible and chocks on all 4 wheels when unhitchin the caravan pops off and moves back and puts to much pressure of my do35 hitch....is that the norm or just with my set up?

We have encountered this but what I have done to stop this is once I have the fan on the levellers and wheel chocks in place I also chock the opposite side I then place the car in neutral and release the brakes so the van and car are not binding together and the wheel chocks are what are stopping the van from rolling then I apply the handbrake on both car and caravan than I unhitch. Also if you are using a jockey wheel I have the wheel direction across the van not in line with the van. I hope this helps enjoy.

Ive just had it confirmed from Tred that you CANNOT use the anti sink plates for extra height

Thanks for that, but it's a bit late as our are all broken, but its all good they still work as anti sink plates
