Tree-Planting with Protect Earth | Ecologi 🌱

We recently visited our UK tree-planting partner Protect Earth at their Burnsall site near Leeds 🌍
The Protect Earth team were helping to secure the riverbank by planting all sorts of native trees that thrive in these wet conditions and do a good job of holding the soil together. This included a great tree mixture of Alder, Willow, with plenty of Dogwood, Quickthorn, Rowan, Bird Cherry, and Oak 💚
At the time of filming, Protect Earth planted 520 trees on this 1 acre of riverbank, and it is projected that these trees will absorb over 200 tonnes of carbon over their lifetimes 💪
This is just one of the many Protect Earth projects, focusing on reforesting with landowners around the UK - which is hugely important considering that only 13% of the UK is forested compared to an EU average of 38%.
