Most shots are closeups of the work jaws. They look strong. They bear the brunt of the force. The handle seems to be overly strengthened making the unit heavier than needed. The highest forces are on the pivot and jaws. No need to make the rest of the handle any stronger.

The handle is designed to withstand any torque upplied according to the severity or density of the soil. Should you have loose sandy soil, a lighter handle could be your requirement.

На днях сделал нечто подобное,чтобы убрать поросль вишни и черешни.Грунт тяжелый чернозем.На поросли до 2-х см в диаметре работает,там где нет ещё сильной корневой.Там где корень уже закрепился ,хрен вытащишь,метал гнётся.На лёгкой почве должно быть лучше.

Look up the "root talon". Much simpler and quicker to use, not to mention more ergonomic. Used one to clear close to an acre of buckthorn (an invasive where I live).

That "root talon" have no moving jaws, so "tree popper" will work good enough with variety of trees.

Get your local welder to fab you one or fifty. Take your 'Smart iPhone' and snap a pic at 0:51 and show your welder to fab as many as you need, AFTER, you approve (agree) with the first one you decide works properly. Now! what is useful, have the welder to ADD two extra bolt holes to the 'rocker' (curve) plate to maybe lift a subject a wee bit larger or smaller, using the middle as the common. The 'popper' I had fabricated, has vertical swivel jaw pads and larger to prevent cutting thru the subject, snapping off when working hard, dry ground. ---- Longer the user works with this tool, will find other modifications would be great , as a adjustable leverage handle length and rocker curve without its own flat-pad, just carry a portable support pad with a travel groove for the rocker curve to follow. --- Octavio, did you read this? 062018.
