I meant food forest . See geoff lawson from permaculture world where the trees help over many years with mulch and techniques of making your own compost and manure.

Hi @Maina! This is good stuff. Am contemplating planting this crop in the next planting season, and this is my first watch that seems encouraging! I hope you have more from earlier posts that I will sample. Am keen to know more and therefore will keep in touch. Kudos!

I really admire your work! I learning a lot from your input. Just asking can one use humic acid e.g. earthlee or other brands in-place of the bulky organic manure?

I think I would first want to test them say on a small scale to evaluate their performance.

Your farm is beautiful! What is the reason of distancing the plants 6 ft etc?

Thank you. The reason we space the trees say 2 by 3m is because when they mature, they tend to form some very huge branches which in turn becomes a very thick canopy, which if not controlled tends to inhibit the sunlight penetration and increases fungal diseases prevalence, besides slowing the ripening of fruits.

I bought grafted seedlings from oxfarm in Jan 21, did the desired holes, and manure as suggested, but growth is slow. I am seeking help before I plant more seedlings. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

My tree tomatoes are 6 months and they are flowering. What advice can you give me

Another round of well decomposed manure plus muriate of potash will do them well. Also ensure they are well watered.

Which fungicide would you advice one to use

I will list 3 companies that have credible products. Syngenta, Bayer & Amiran. Though pricey they work. You will never go wrong with any of their products.

can they grow in semi arid areas?
@tukuze_matunda2 жыл бұрын
I would not do them on an agribusiness scale. They thrive well where tea grows. They are from the Andes mountain remember.
