Tree Tops Walkthrough - Spyro the Dragon 120% Walkthrough

Tree Tops is the 3rd level in the Beast Makers Homeworld. There are 3 Dragons & 500 Gems to be found here.
Dragons:
#1 Isaak (0:17): From the beginning of the level go forward until you're back outside. Fly over to the area with the big enemies (and also where the locked chest is) and go up the steps to find Isaak.
#2 Lyle (2:01): Near the beginning of the level are a couple of windows. Outside the 1 window is a bridge. Take the bridge and continue along this path until you can fly over to the island with Lyle on it.
#3 Jed (2:33): Make your way to Lyle the dragon and run down the Supercharge. At the end of the Supercharge, jump and take a hard turn to the right. There is a ramp that ends right next to the Supercharge. Land on this ramp while still charged up and jump off the end. This will give you a big enough jump to reach Jed. Note: This isn't the way you're supposed to get over to Jed, but it's a whole lot easier. This trick can also be done in the Reignited Trilogy. Changing your camera to Active mode can help.
Key (1:25): Continue along from the very start of the level. Just before you make it back outside there are a couple windows on the left. Jump through the 2nd window (the window closest to the outside) and you will land on a bridge. Continue into the next building to find the key.
Chest (4:43): Go back to the start of the level and take the normal exit (i.e. not the window). From here, fly over to the next area and the locked chest will be down below.
Green Thief (2:33): The Green Thief ends up right next to the dragon named Jed so follow the instructions on how to reach Jed.
Red Thief (5:00): Use the Supercharge near the dragon named Isaak. Jump off the end of the Supercharge and over to the pathway on the far right. While still charged, run up this path and at the end jump off the ramp and land on the Supercharge directly in front of you. Keep running down this Supercharge so that you're double charged and jump at the end to reach the higher up area near the level's exit portal. The Red Thief is up here.

I wish I could like this video a hundred times. I spent a good hour on this jump doing it the "normal" way (with four ramps involved) and could not get it. I tried your way on that third dragon and did it three times in 10 minutes. THANK YOU SO EFFING MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow. Great video. You make this look very easy haha! I did this on my channel last month.....eventually. Tree tops is one of the harder levels in the game in my opinion. The supercharge jumps are incredibly frustrating at times!

Yeah, I remember having quite a hard time with this level when I was a kid. Even when I replayed this game a couple of years ago I still had trouble remembering how to get over to Jed. That was when I found the shortcut.

I'm glad there are still original versions of games like this to search playthroughs of. Spyro Reignited Trilogy music isn't bad but I like hearing the original music more instead of the remix and I miss hearing the the voices of the original version. So here I am. This level is a reminder of the memories I had long ago as a teen struggling with this level trying to get everything. 👍 EmptyGarbageCan

There's actually a setting in Reignited that allows you to listen to the original music. No such luck for the original voices, unfortunately.

It is possible to kill the red thief at his starting point before he runs off. The green thief is unkillable until he reaches where Jed is. Also if your really quick at the start to keep up with the green thief and kill some of the enemies before they wake up this causes the rest of the enemies in that part of the level to stay asleep and they won't hurt you. I find it weird here that when you kill these two particular thieves they turn flat before they vanish unlike all the other thieves in the game where they stay 3D .

I did know this when i was a kid, but now replaying it as an adult i forgot. Dunno which dragon is worse, this one, or that one in Haunted towers

For me I would say Haunted Towers. I was able to figure out how to get this one as a kid, but the dragon in Haunted Towers and it's nearby treasure were the only things preventing me from completing this game for years (literally). I could hear the dragon, but could not figure out where exactly it was or how to reach it. With the internet it would be no problem now to see how to get it, but when I was a kid that was much less of an option for me. So I would definitely say Haunted Towers.

I don't understand how you get the third dragon. When are you pressing the buttons?

I'm holding down charge whenever I'm not flying and I jump each time I reach the edge of a ramp. If your camera isn't in active mode then putting in that mode could help.

This single level would be 100%, but if you get everything in the entire game your game percentage will be 120%. Therefore this is not a 100% walkthrough, it's a 120% walkthrough.

It's been over a decade since I last played this game. I had to come here to get a reminder on how to get to the island at 2:58.
