I have an apple tree that is young with apples on it and around the base it looks like a rabbit has been eating on it. Much of the young bark is gone so I wrapped it with surveyors ribbon. Would this be okay?

Look into tree girdling. If they ate entirely around the trunk of the tree, it's going to die as the tree can't get nutrients to the branches without the bark. If the damage is limited to about 50%, it may survive, but it's not going to have it easy. We had to replace an apple tree our second year with it because of the rabbits. Now I won't trust leaving the trunk exposed at all to the little buggers.

I love the video. But please cut down the poisonous, invasive Buckeye, and plant a real, life-giving Chestnut tree. Actually, that "Chinkapin" looks a lot like a Castania to me.. Just saying, the ones that grow here in Oregon have ovate, glossy leaves, not serrated..

Thanks for not showing how to start the wrap at the bottom of the tree, because nobody will have a problem with the wrap at the bottom ever coming loose because they did it wrong.
