Thanks so much i really liked your sander. I am going to try to make your design. Do you think this can be made slightly wider to handle 20-24 inch wide materials like a cutting board? This would greatly help in finishing after glue ups.

Отличный станок,только я бы добавил к нему каретку. Не всегда требуется шлифануть длинную деталь,бывают и короткие,и её кладут на каретку с упором за вал и за ручку вытягивают каретку на себя. Для этого у мотора должен быть реверс,так как вал должен будет вращаться против часовой стрелки,да и по технике безопасности этот вариант лучше,особенно если детали тонкие.

I am planning to build this. But I have a question. Is there a practical method to change the sanding paper? Not because it is worn out but sometimes you need to use different grades. With this setup, you either have to disassamble the cyclinder or untape the sand paper although it still has life in it.
