I had the same experience while travelling to London 10 years back with the same flight. It went till the runway and was given lunch and never flew. When asked the air hostess told abhi maloom chala do mein se ek engine nahin chal Raha. Aacha hua niche maloom chal Gaya, uppar pata chala toh kya a hota. And as they had given lunch...they didn't gave any other food in the flight of 9 hours. Only peanuts were served.

It doesn't matter how old an air hostess is. We board the flight to reach our destination. Making such derogatory comments on old Air stewardess is cheap. I have travelled in different airlines in US and believe me there are older air stewardesses than I have seen in Air India. So just chill and take it easy. Respect everyone and their job.

Nice comedy on Air Dadi for fun sake, but Air India is not the only one. I have seen even Air France & British Airways employ older women. And I believe that should not be a concern. Especially in Airline industry where experience counts. That's why pilots need more and more flying hours for promotions. So why not cabin crew ?? Young women preference as air hostesses is only an Indian phenomena. It's not needed as every onr should have equal opportunities and it's your skill and knowledge that should count.
