2020 Galaxy Tab S6 Lite
In this video we take a look back at the 2020 Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, after using it for 3 years. Although there’s is a revamped and more powerful version of that Galaxy tab s6 lite, called the 2022 Galaxy tab s6 lite, some people still consider purchasing the old 2020 tab s6 lite. In the video we will cover my experience using that s6 lite for 3 years but most importantly cover wether you should still consider this Samsung tablet after 3 years.

I bought it because of your videos and I love still love it. I was torn between buy this or this Ipad but I went for this because the pen was included so it worked a lot cheaper than the Ipad at the time where I bought it. Plus, the rest of my tech is Samsung so it kinda of made sense to go for the S6. It's still works great, the battery life is still good (but not as good as my old Tab A, the battery on that thing would never die, I gave it to my mom and she uses it everyday). I haven't really noticing any lagging, but I don't play game on it. I'd still recommend that tablet to everyone for like, everyday use, it's not as powerful as some other tablets but if all you do is streaming, browse the Internet and take note, it's enough. And I do love the Samsung note app. It's really something I would have love to have as a student but we didn't use tablet back in the days 😂

@@Souparno_Biswas hi, it works perfectly fine. I’ve just tried it again because it’s not a feature I use a lot, but it’s fine, the video is not lagging even when I write notes down. But I have a pretty good internet connection at home, I don’t know how it works on public wifi. Hope that helps :)

Oh yeah, it's slow and is quite laggy. I have one. Though it is quite capable by budget tablet standards. If you don't have any more to spend then I'd get it. Not much else will be better at this price range.​@@Souparno_Biswas

been using the s6 lite for about a year and half now. It's a fantastic tablet. Does everything I need. Yeah, there are newer tablets for around the same price that have better performance. If you can find this tablet on a decent sale, go for it. You won't be disappointed

I found a deal of 199€ as opposed to the 2022 version which is close to 400€. I don't mind the software updates stopping, so I may go for it. I don't really plan on doing heavy tasks, so it seems like a good deal

I have the 2020, I use it for note taking (samsung notes), drawing (infinite painter/concepts) , to use with my piano keyboard (simply piano) and watching videos I already downloaded on it. For my use would you recommended getting the newer one. I saw it the other day but the price was almost $300 and I got mine a few months before the release of 2022 for $179, git two, I was asking myself if I should upgrade? I have a s22u I use for gaming, streaming Netflix and other apps, etc (don't like to do that on bigger screens). And my pc for heavier stuff. I like that all of them have my notes synched.

i still use my samsung galaxy tab A 9.7! Yes i got it in 2016. I just use it for webbrowsing, youtube videos like this excellent channel and play some games. Is it fast ? no but i dont know any better Has it still got updates? No but that does NOT mean this 2016 tablet is not usable. Do i need a new tablet? Only because its only 9.7 inch and i would like a bigger screen So s6 lite 2022 is still an option. Althoigh i may go for s8 11 inch.... But it proves Yvan's point. S6 lite is still a good tablet even in 2023 just dont expect you can run all the latest games or have very quick webbrowsing etc Ty for your review...great stuff !

I love this tablet, I got the 2022 and my daughter the 2020, I got both open box from Best Buy, my daughter was $105 and mine was $150, and these usually go on sale a lot. The open box ones doesn't have anything wrong with it, mine didn't come withe the spen and my daughter only had the tablet, nothing else.

I still have my tablet. I restart my tablet when it starts acting funny. I mostly use it to write, read, game and watch my anime. I don't know what year I have but mine still updates. I love it even though I wish I had the latest most powerful samsung tablet.

Watching this video right now on s6 lite 2022 model which I have just purchased yesterday, really like this tablet and so far don't regret choosing it over s7 fe. For my own experience with both tablet in the shop, I would say s7 fe sometimes doesn't run as smooth as s6 lite, not sure whether it I because of the overly large screen size. Also, I believe the default android and oneUI version is behind that of s6 lite 2022, which makes some user experience slightly different such as split screen feature. Since I am a student who aims to use this tablet for study and note taking, such minor detail really matters to me. I understand that of course I can update the system to get the same experience on s7 fe with much larger screen, however, for my very limited budget I believe s6 lite 2022 already serves me well enough for my intended purpose, so I am with my choice. Not to mention that S-pen that comes along with at this cheap price really helps me a lot. In summary I would say for people with similar demand as me should definitely try this out first, nowadays it is really quite hard to find a tablet that provides similar or better experience than this one at such a cheap price,. Totally worth it. 😀

I'm a 2020 user and debating about getting an upgrade. I don't need it, but I use it to farm mobile games and it starts chugging after extended use. I blame the 4GB of RAM. I also have a hard time with pushing apps into the SD drive... which wouldn't be such a big deal if I had larger internal storage. Thought I could just slam everything onto the SSD and call it good... Not the way it wants to work. So even though it's working, I'm having to micro manage some stuff that I wouldn't have to if I upgraded. Still, that's several hundred dollars just to shake off some minor inconveniences.

I just bought the 2020 (64gb) for $200 used from my girlfriends sister who rarely used it. I feel good about it vs having to spend $70 more for the A8 and $180 more for the 2022 version.

As always a good common sense video, you are one of the few reviwers that reminds viewers that it is not always necessary to have the "the latest and greatest" tech. If it still does what you use normally do each day, then there is no need to replace it. I recently took a bunch of my older tech to Best Buy and traded it in to help cover the cost of a new S23 Ultra. Ended up less then $300 out of pocket. But in keeping with the spirit of your video, I still have and use my Pixel C tablet from 2015 to view media and along with a bluetooth keyboard will handle email, etc. However because of the fact that it is way past any security updates I would never use the Pixel C outside of my home network and do not keep any information such as banking or even my Amazon account on it. Let's face it, anything that old is not secure by today's standandards. Yes I do have a more recent tablet (Tab S8 plus) for use when in the public. And I aways use a vpn when on public wifi.

My experience has not been good with this device It stutters and "hangs" a lot,even while doing very light tasks Often there are glitches while taking notes It has also often crashes apps The animations are very slow/stutters in this device 2020 model,4/64

Definitely a better value getting the ipad, the s6 lite is a poor value as a s6 lite owner I definitely don't recommend
