I'm glad there are people who still take depression seriously. I told my family I may be suffering from depression, and they all took it as a joke and laughed at me. Never again did I opened up to them. I bottled everything up and isolated myself. All I can think of now is it's best to be gone. After watching this, I cried so hard. The words each stranger said hit me hard in the heart. I wish someone would tell me that.

In Australia here we have a legend named Ned Kelly. And he was an outlaw back in 18 century. His most famous quote was “such is life”. And no matter how others looked at his life, he lived full of it. Life can take all kinds of directions, relax. Follow them, don’t give up on yourself, then most of the time unbelievable things will happen, provided you need to live another day.

@ithinknolol they're not useless. I'm very suicidal, and this kinda makes me want to see if for just a little more. Although it depends on the situation & pain. Ah yeah I’ve been told that before but my mindset was “they don’t care so why should I care about them” so those words meant nothing to me (dad wasn’t in my life at the time and my mum ignored my feelings of suicide/death when I literally told her, said I was “too young to understand” and “it was over a silly thing”) though I once did think of my brother i felt so guilty to leave him alone so he was my reason of why I kept going lol But I’m glad they’re trying *justlikebecarefulbecausetheparentsmightbethereasonofsuchthoughtsortheymightnotevenhaveparents* English might be bad, I dunno, I’m self taught so I literally have no idea if I’m right on my spelling sob- (Just in case, I don’t have those thoughts anymore and I have my dad now which unlike my mum, he cares way more and actually listens so happy ending? :D 👍)

I understand why they say "how will your parents feel?" and things like this, but I think it's kinda irresponsible as well. I mean, what if she doesn't have parents, because they died or left her or idk? Or she has, but they're abusive? We have to take these things into consideration as well, otherwise we can hurt them even more by reminding them of losing their parents, or of their sad upbringings. We have to think things through before we say anything not to trigger the situation. But the video in itself is wholesome, it's good to know there are people out there who cares even for a stranger.

Agreed. I've been through this road and had no one. Sometimes it's family and friends that betrayed you. It's a good idea to hear the story first. A lot of the time it's a self worth issue that manifests whether they have supportive friends and family or not. If they do, they can lean on them a bit and if they have no one you need to help them gain confidence in themselves or love themselves enough to live despite the terrible things that happened to them. A lot of the time people think they're "doing the world a favour" by suiciding or expressing their emotions is burdening others (and some people do take it that way) so I can't stress it enough the strongest relationship and person who will be there for you before anyone is YOU, so nurture it.

hey I know this means well but saying this to someone actually struggling is very harmful. it makes them think their feelings and thoughts are selfish and makes us feel like a burden. yes I know that if I left I would hurt people but when im in that state of mind I dont feel like anyone cares, so telling people facing these issues that their pain will hurt others will do more harm than good
@mckevin543 жыл бұрын
You know, this may be sounds more harsh... than what so ever, I remembered my grandpa said that "Suicide doesn't always guarantee you 'peace' on the other side, you may gonna bring more pain to people who ACTUALLY cares about you, and yeah, the only we can do is by reaching them out..... but if the said person is really persistent about to suicide, so be it. I hope she and he can achieve rest in piece." Somehow that brings sudden chill into my spine... *sigh*

It's a selfish act. This is the reason why they end their life. They are afraid or tired to show themselves and to face things, overthinking and just feel empty. They wanted to get rid of all those without thinking what may happened after they leave.

@@nikolasaem1126 calling suicidal people selfish is the most wrong thing to do. it just makes it worse. I am suicidal, and I can assure you that we dont care, we dont think about others because we genuinely feel nobody cares. I am lucky to be here even though there’s people like you who call my emotions and mindset “selfish” instead of actually trying to help. You probably have never been there, you probably dont know how it really feels to be alone, numb, lost. We are afraid or tired for a reason. The stress and anxiety built up over the years to the point where everyone around him lost faith in him. Everyone was just waiting for him to just gain the courage and kill himself. I didn't want such a strong and kind person to die so I stood by his side, I got him to come out as gay, tell me everything that happened to him as a child and eventually even got him to agree to being my lover. "I believe it will be better tomorrow, i believe in tomorrow" I didn't know a strangers words across the planet could mean so much to me.... I love you,whoever is reading this Im just gonna drop what my grandpa used to say "At the end of a storm, there's always a golden sky, bright with light,full of hope" I battled depression for years, ever since i was about 12 or 13,im now 18 and I'm way better, ever since i met my girlfriend and my world has been going uphill instead of downhill, sometimes you just need a special someone to save you, like she saved me So my point is, even when it's most "hopeless", it will get better hope is last to die, and you must hold on to it no matter how useless or hopeless things may be If you ever want someone to talk to, or someone who might understand you, I'm here I hope you have a nice life, if not, i hope life gets better for you All my love

This video made me so emotional. I know this was only a social experiment, but I'm still so grateful to these people for showing so much empathy towards a stranger. The truth is that while this might be staged, people all around the world feel this hopeless and choose suicide to end their pain. If everyone reacted like this, I guarantee the suicide rate would be much lower. This was truly such a great video to watch. 🙏🏻

You will live here on Earth forever, with no sadness, no wars, no pain, no more sickness, etc. So i would like to live until then. Let me correct myself. I'm not Catholic i have another religion.
