Beautiful soap as always. I'm a monk at a monastery in fl. I've been making soap for around 6 months. It is now part of our revenue. Became addicted to soap making since day 1. Thanks for all the videos, you truly are an artist.

You are a pro! I have being studding your videos to get better on soap design, I was always in love of soap since I bought some Lush soaps. And I started at least 1 year ago to study every video on soapqueen, your channel, books and others soap makers around the globe. I wish soon I will perfectionated design and formulation on my 7 first soap to start a business. I wish people will take advantage of what different oils and butters can do for skin and have a luxurious smells on their morning/night bath; for me is an important part of taking care of ourself and family. Thanks for sharing your knowledge I really appreciate it, hopefully one they I can send you my soaps for your enjoyment 😉 😊. I definitely going to check out the blog.

Love this technique! I have been soaping 7 years, started my company at 63 and soon will be 70. I make a ton of soap but I keep the my special techniques to a minimum because of time and the quantity I need to make but I love finessing but that is hard to do on 12 pounds of soap at a go. Love your videos.

I made my first soap about 6 years ago, only making a couple batches a year until 2019 when I started making more to give away and to sell. I now have people who ask for my soap. I love watching your videos, they are really helpful. It's close to actually making it myself, it gives me a feel for the different techniques. My goal is to have my bars as clean and perfect as yours.

I loved watching you clean your soaps. They look so professional when cleaned properly and so many soaps I see don't have that clean look. I came in second in the soap challenge and that was my favorite challenge so far. It took me five tries to get the look I was after. I learned so much that month and I'm so grateful to you for sharing your knowledge with us that month. Thanks for all you do to help others in our soaping journey!

For some reason I thought about KZbin this morning and I got all excited about soaps. You need to do a Bob Ross themed soap and in his style... "how about a little charcoal onyx obsidian ink black right here... makes a happy comfy cozy shadow to hide with you glass of wine at 10 o'clock in the morning."

Beautiful work! I have been making soap since 2006. I purchased a soap making book in 1997 after the birth of my first child..Although the craft intrigued me, the complexity of the process intimidated me at the same time. I was 24. After the birth of my second child in 2005, my mother gifted me a soap making kit for Christmas. I made my first batch and couldn’t believe that I had actually made soap! Took me ten years and an encouraging nudge from my mom... the rest is history. It has only been recently that I have stepped back into the craft more steadily. There are so many creative options now available now to the soap maker. New and ever evolving techniques, improved color choices and fragrances, etc. I love the opportunity to see the creativity flow in other soap makers. It is greatly appreciated that you take the time to share your creativity with the rest of us. Not only is your work artistically inspiring but enjoyable to watch! Thank you 😊

Thank you so much, Pamela! I have a similar story. I learned about soap making in 1998 and got everything to make it, and I was scared to try it. I gave it up for more than twenty years. This is the time to be a soap maker. There wasn't much information available back then, and the internet was just getting started. Good thing your mom encouraged you! Great story! 💕

I’m a soaper. I’ve sold to friends, but I’m retired and don’t want a business at this point in my life, so now I just make soap for family. I’ve been soaping for 7 years now. I started making soap as a way to deal with the grief of losing my Dad to cancer. I was his in home hospice caregiver and I was exhausted physically and emotionally after he died. I’ve always loved chemistry (science) and also creative and artistic things so soap making was a natural fit for me. I really enjoy your videos. They are informative, insightful and concise. Keep up the good work. I get a lot of inspiration from you.

I'm so sorry about your dad. (My dad died of cancer too. I took up soap making two years later and often wondered what he would think.) It is an artistic outlet for me. I have an art background, but I love science too. I believe we have a lot in common. Enjoy your soap making, Teresa! 🤗💝

I've dipped into soaping a month ago now. Made 5 batches (only 2 of which fully cured), tweaking the recipe and learning how to distinguish trace and manage acceleration - most of my fragrance oils have caused speedy acceleration, so it's been a discouraging learning process. I watch videos like yours to motivate myself through the learning curve. There's cool stuff to be done once I've got the basics worked out.

I think this technique is more for intermediate or advanced soapers as I tried this and ended up with a layered soap no pointy layers like I was wanting. I love your colours, I live on the edge of the sea and they are so close to true life sea colours. Beautiful soap. I just looked at all the entries in the pointy layers and there are some absolutely beautiful soaps in the Competition

Oh, Tanya, you'll have to try again. Your batter must have been too thick. Make sure that your batter is just at an emulsion when you split it, so you have time to work. That is so neat to live by the sea. 🌊💙💕

I love this technique! Going to try it on my next batch. I have only been soaping for about a year and a half and am hooked on it. I love the process and the artistic possibilities. Your designs are so inspirational! I still have a lot to learn, but watching your videos helps so much. They are clear and easy to understand. Thanks so much!

The colors you weren't happiest with were perfect for me. I know nothing of soap contests. Your creation looks like wall art & I wouldn't want to use it. I'd be that old lady with a faded, dusty, scent-free slice of what was once considered soap :)

These soaps were super pretty. Looking forward for those confetti soaps. I plan on making soap for the first time this month. Like anything, it's easy to get caught up in perfection and the tornado of new things that have to be acquired before performing the actual task. Space is needed and not always available. Space to store soaping equipment, make the soap, and curing areas. I'll also have to lock up my pets. Trying to find relevant information for my specific needs that is more fact based and less anecdotal takes time. I then have to check with my ever changing understanding of soap making. Example: I have hard water. That was never discussed in any videos I've seen. So I will have to try different chelators to see what I prefer. I don't have the hardest water, so I am going with citric acid (plus its lack of environmental impact and lower cost). This means I also have to figure out how much and how to add it through various forums. Sourcing equipment and ingredients can take a lot of time and money. It's alluring to do too much too soon. There are many other reasons, but this is a starting point. A lot of this is specific to me. I want to have a good bit of understanding before going into something that requires time, money, and space is all.

Pam, I use distilled water for my water. That is because it has no minerals in it. Hard water can cause orange spots in soap. I also have heard of people collecting rainwater to make soap. Distilled water is only 88 cents for a gallon here. That lasts a long time. Are you on Facebook? My group would be a great place to ask questions like that. 😊

@@TreeMarieSoapworks I have distilled water that I will be using. However, soap scum is a concern. I haven't joined the group yet, though I probably will at some point. Other than watching KZbin, I have really pulled back from socials at the moment. Thank you very much for replying.

And with all that is happening due to the Corona situation here in Brazil I decided to invest time and money to learn more about this art. Still buying my starter’s kit but can’t wait to really start practcing soon. :)
