Hey everyone! Please let me know if you enjoy this video so I know whether or not to make more like this. Cheers!! 🥳🎉

This is my next step. So -- of quartz we want more!! (I'm a geologist). My fourth layer is going to be documented on the reddit. 19 feet from the ground; nothing beneath (offset 4th floor) with a ramp/tunnel entrance. 👍🤘🤙🖖💚 Love the longer tutorials!!

Love this video! I would love to see more design variations for the trampoline net other than the dreamcatcher. Even if they are pictures with your final results to compare them.

This is the best one yet, make more pov so we understand how to weave

The POV is great Alonso! You talking is not bad at all, you explain very well, but showing the process it's great. Thank you and all the best!

How do you do the inner parts? Do you have to get up on the net to do it?
@treenetweaves13 күн бұрын
Yes exactly! Either that or sit below I like to mix it up if possible to stretch my back in different directions

Hey Alonzo, Thanks so much for the videos. While Ive learned a lot from all of your vids, seeing you demonstrate first-hand is really helpful. One question that I have - I see that you are tying a knot that doesnt appear to be a clovehitch for the start of each weave(attaching to the skeleton rope), what knot are you using here?
@treenetweaves4 ай бұрын
Constrictor Hitch and Barrel Knots are the only other knots I use 😊 I hope this helps!

how long of strands do you use to weave? or do you weave from the spool?
@treenetweaves22 күн бұрын
I typically stretch 3-5 arm lengths of cord to weave at a time. Shorter cords are easier to weave in because they tangle less but then you have the drawback of having more ends that you need to cut at the end. It’s Weavers preference reallly 😊

What’s the weight limit and size of the paracord used please
@treenetweavesАй бұрын
It’s 550 Paracord and each strand has a breaking strength of 550 lbs

Great😊video thank you! Extremely 🙏 👏 😊😊helpful! I had an idea that came to mind for your single paracord spool. Maybe like a pvc going through the spool and an end cap for easier unraveling. Idk🤷♂️ just a thought. Thank you for your helpful insight.

Thanks for that!! I’ll be making another one of these videos soon 😊

@pg8428 I was thinking the same thing. Or even just Paracord wrapped around something like a piece of cardboard (like what people do with Xmas lights). Seems like it would save a ton of time if you didn't have to pull all the excess slack through on all the knots
@michaelwhiting90036 ай бұрын
How many feet of paracord do you use to fill up that entire trampoline space?

I don’t know off the top of my head but I wrote a blog post on this topic at www.treenetweaves.com Go check it out! 😊

Hey man, absolutely could watch this forum of content for an hour or two. Not sure how others feel but it's relaxing to watch. Only comment would be less repetitive music.

Is it possible/feasible to make one of these inside and then take it outside to use? Maybe if you could find a way to create tension, like between a bannister and the legs of a table? We have baby on the way so im going to be stuck inside a lot while he (hopefully) sleeps and looking for things to do and our older son would love one of these.

I actually have a video on this exact subject coming soon 😉😊

I think long format videos are good. Add a few good songs and maybe the talking frequency can even be less at times. I enjoyed it though! The real video needed is long format border set up and rope tensioning for non-triangular nets. Very little out there on that type of project.
@omat82787 ай бұрын
Yes, that would be great.

I agree. He has made so many great and helpful videos but seems like the only thing missing is one on the border set up and rope tensioning. For me that's the hardest part, and based on his videos and what he says about slack it might be the most important/critical step to a good overall net
@pedroghirotti6 ай бұрын
@@DrMatthewHudson I started my own web recently. I used 5 trees, and to tension the perimeter I used a ratchet strap. I tied one end of the perimeter rope to a tree, then connected a prusik knot to the rope at more or less 2ft from the next tree. One side of the ratchet I hooked to the prusick knot, and the other end of the strap pulled around the next tree I wanted to tie the perimeter rope. I would tension the ratchet strap, also tensioning the perimeter rope, and then tie the perimeter rope around the tree. Once you release the ratchet, the perimeter rope will sag a little bit, but once you start the weaving everything will tension like magic!

Hi! I noticed you almost always wrap around only once when your paracord comes into contact with another paracord, but in your other videos you suggest doubling the wrap to reduce tension. Is this net an exception or do you often weave like this to go faster?
@treenetweaves6 ай бұрын
Double wraps are definitely better but they take much more time. My rule of thumb is full wrap if going through and a wrap and a half if making a 180 (if that makes sense)

@treenetweaves can you make a video on tips for this? I had the same problem. My dreamcatcher weave I was having a problem with tension. Does it tighten up with the actual weaving?
