The slow-mo tree landing in the mud reminded me of a planet exploding in a sci-fi movie

"The things we do for love youtube, this is all for you." I feel it, August! All the way from the Midwest. That mildly grumpy, but "heart of gold" love. That "stop trying to make the tree a Damien catapult" love.

Dang I don't envy you guy's having to work in the rain 🫤 what no battery saws to ruin today 😅 excellent flatness !!!! You guy's are upbeat even on a miserable rainy day 👊❤ Thank Mr August ❤❤

Cool to see you guys wearing the rain gear that’s made here in BC Canada. Canswe/Raingear Pro is used by a lot of fallers here, myself included.

Hard work, rain, and cold weather is usually not a recipe for a couple of guys to have as much fun as it looked like the two of you just had. Thanks for the video. Hope you all stay safe and see you on the next video.

Hi August and guys and gal... I hope younger folks are paying attention to what you are showing us... Your job is difficult, serious and dangerous... but... you still have fun... We don't have Roy, and Gene and Hoppy any longer to entertain us and at the same time deliver a subtle message to young viewers... They are looking down on you and your team with approving murmurs and whispering... Keep 'em coming August! An old dawg who loves to learn Gladys K

I see that rain gear worked out. Seems like quite a while since they offered you a try. Not my idea of a good time, working in the rain, but emergencies happen. Thanks for testing the gear and of course, all the rest. Likewise to the big D.

Being a Californian, I always hated a boss that made you work in the rain when tomorrow the sun would be out. Spent more time cleaning the mud off the gear on dry days. Rainy days were for duck hunting and overdue equipment maintenance. Different once you get a little north though 👍🏼

Better men than I. We will work in the rain, but I’ve never climbed in the rain. I have climbed in some pretty crazy sustained wind. Once I got out of tree right as a summer time supercell hit. Had just finished limbing a tall poplar and was gonna go a bit higher to pop the top and I had to bail.

He wears them when he feels he wants to. He's even addressed his gloves on or gloves off in previous videos. He wears them more these days than I recall in his earlier videos . He takes safety very serious. Alot of ppl make that choice for themselves...he's not hurting anyone.
