Eeeeh, I'm going to be hated for this by many, but I didn't really like it. The music didn't fit the clip, and there was just a big disconnection between the visuals and the song, and having heard the song already about a thousand times ever since I promoted it, it didn't make things any better. I like the effort put into it, but it feels artificial, like the MV was made first, and the song added later and which surprised me even more, is that Shelter was the track chosen for the MV, while there being many more better ones from Porter. Maybe shelter got as much attention as it did because of Madeon, but it's not their best work and isn't as enjoyable to listen to months later, as some of their releases. Just my opinion, so please no hate. :P Maybe A-1 Pictures wanted their own MeMeMe or Interstellar, but it's far from it. Visuals are nice though. Story is generic.

Yeah, hence why I have decided not to upload much Future Bass anymore, it was amazing a few years back because it was something new, and every track sounded different, but now it's all the same except some artists who'm still try to go different ways with it. I think I might start focusing more on Electro, Dubstep and the other genres I've been ignoring now for the past year and a half or so. :P

Nope not the only one, I love Future Bass, or in this case loved, but the direction it's going in, is the same one as Dubstep did a few years ago, completely going from something that had quite a lot of rhythm and plenty of variety, to now all being the same heavy, electronic blender noises and that's where future is going into now as well, not the blender noises, but just about sounding all the same. I think Future Bass had it's run, it did great and was enjoyable, but now I want people just to go back to producing old genre's, as it's been so long since I've heard a good Melodic Dubstep track, or an great Drumstep track. Future Bass has been produced so much, that now even the old genre's sound fresh again. It's a conspiracy. >.

A buddy showed me this song and I really tried to like it but I just can't. I've listened to it 7 times now and the idea of this song just keeps making me cringe. I'm partially convinced the only reason people listen to it is because they want a woman who will come after them so they don't have to pursue her. Explains a lot about the man who showed me this as well. None of this is inherently bad, obviously, but in my personal experience, the type of men who think this way are just mentally ugly all the way around.

I think you're looking a bit too much into lad. It's music. It has a beat, has a rhythm if you don't like that specific part of a specific song, of course that's your opinion and every one respects that. But this song doesn't have any deep meaning. When you hear a track in the club with the lyrics "Girl I want to take you home" You don't start pondering about the meaning about what that entails, their future and the phylosphical outcome of that. I don't even think the artist even wanted you to go that far. Music is a medium and while some songs are specifically made to entail a emotion or having deep underlining meaning on its lyrics. This is just not one of those. Trying to think like that about EDM in general is probably not a good way to experience it anyhow. Though that's my opinion.

You could be right about how the artist's main focus was the beat and not the lyrics but I feel like the wording is too deliberate for that. Maybe I'm just putting my own spin on it because I can't understand why someone would go through the hassle of creating a song (the beat is good btw, no arguing that) just to have the lyrics be filler. But that's the great part about art, right? It's about how the piece makes you feel. Thank you for being a decent human being btw.
