Lilium Mackliniae, the Shirui Lily or Shirui Kashung Timrawon, is a rare Indian species of plant found only in the upper reaches of the Shirui hill ranges in the Ukhrul district of Manipur, India, at an elevation of 1,730-2,590 metres (5,680-8,500 ft) above sea level. It is located near the boundary of Myanmar to the east, Shirui village in the west, Choithar village in the south and Sihai village in the north.

The more popularly know peak is the Shirui Kashung Peak - 2835 m from the sea level. Most of the major rivers originate from the crevices and slopes of this Shirui Peak. Shirui is 18 km from Ukhrul Town and 97 km from Imphal. It is the home of world famous Shirui (Siroy) Lily (Lilium Mackliniae).The name Shirui Lily originates from a British Botanist named F. Kingdom Ward who in 1948 discovered the uniqueness of this lily flower. The local name of the flower is Kashong Timrawon. According to local legends the Kashong Timrawon is also a protective spirit which resides on the Shirui Peak. Every year thousand of Scientists and Tourists all over the World come to see this precious flower. The ordinary looking Shirui lily blossoms on the hilltop during May - June.
Ukhrul: A forest fire reportedly broke out at Shirui Kashong, popularly known as Shirui peak, in Manipur's Ukhrul district on Friday, according to reports.
However, the cause of the fire and the amount of damage are yet to be ascertained till the time of filing this report.
Shirui Peak, which is home to the endangered Shirui Lily, the state flower, is known for its scenic beauty and rich fauna and flora.
