You got some awesome upgrades! How’s that 203 rotor rear? I’m thinking of going to that, or just saving up for some new brakes
@markRUshredding3 жыл бұрын
@@JaredHoff the MTX ceramic pads and the 203 rotor is a must have to avoid fade at the bike park. No complaints with the Shimano 8120 XT brakes. One upgrade I am seriously considering is swapping the rear shock to a FOX DHX2 coil. However I want to get more time on the Rockshox super deluxe before I make that decision. The ZEB fork is a keeper.

@@markRUshredding thanks for the info man. It’s always good to get feedback from the guys like me who bought the bike and aren’t pro riders that are paid to ride it 👍🏻

Stoked that I found your vids/channel. Love the work that you put into your videos and your bike. 👊 My 9.7 shows up in 2 months and these vids have helped me out a lot with possible future upgrades and just the overall sense you’re getting from the ride, as I am close in size at roughly 195lbs/5’11” and similar riding style / level. So this is all hitting the mark for me. Can’t wait to see this beast in person 🤤 I had to try the 8 for size and then order the 9.7 in. She pops in the sun!! Haha Keep up the great work! Thank you. Cheers from Canada!

Thanks for the feedback. I’m stoked for you. You’re going to like that 9.7 Slash. I’ll keep posting my upgrade vids. I know I always like to see what other people have done to upgrade their MTBs.

I ordered a Trek slash 7, 2022. I went with that knowing I was going to upgrade the suspension. I'm going to go a bit further and getting the factory version of the 38, and the fox float X2. It's a beautiful bike. To bad I have to wait till September
@JaredHoff2 жыл бұрын
That’s going to be an awesome build. I had the Factory 38 and X2 on my last bike and loved it. That’s why I got the 38 for this bike. Sucks you have to wait so long, but it will be worth it.

Hey man, great reviews. Just curious if you are experiencing pedal strikes like crazy on this bike? Do you run high or low setting? Thanks
@JaredHoff2 жыл бұрын
I run the stock low setting. I feel it give the bike a “mini-downhill” bike feel. I adjust my riding to compensate for the lower BB and possible pedal strikes. Let me know if you have more questions about that setup. I know it always helps me to hear for fellow riders

Cool bike. Buy why are trying to sound irritated for spending money on expensive optional parts, as if someone forced you to get them?
