I’d say it’s an hour walk from Cilaos, several km. Not bad really if you are yo for making the hike a bit longer. There is also a bus that can take you there but you’d have to time it right as to not wait for too long.

Did you solo hike? May I know the estimated money spent for the hike?

Yes I solo hiked. The only cost to hike was the hostel room in the “gite” which was 20 euro I believe.
