Three of us climbed in 1991, using local guides and help. We lived in Eastern Uganda and Kenya, so had our own vehicle. We went in the dry season and it rained every day. We walked in water for much of the trek. The area is rugged and beautiful.

@@amadoudame 5 Days to the peak. You may book a organized trip lokaly. I boocked the whole Expedition via a german organisation.

Do you plan on climbing the third highest mountains in the other continents?(Kanchenjunga,Mount Pissis,Orizaba Peak,Mount Shkhara,Trikora Peak/Mount Twynam, & Mount Shinn) or just Mount Stanley?

Never thought of that. I have climbed a few of the 2nd highest (Mt Blanc, Mt Kenya, Mt Logan) and these are much more difficult than the 1st tallest.

@@UdoKellner Ich hab es mir jetzt in 360p angeschaut. Aber wenn man es selbst schon mit eigenen Augen gesehen hat, kommen mir da wirklich die Erinnerungen an eine der spektakulärsten Bergtouren wieder in den Sinn. Einfach große klasse! Wir sind über den Kilembe Trail hoch. Dieser ist aber im letzten Frühjahr durch eine Regenflut stark beschädigt worden. Mit dem Wetter am Gipfeltag hattet ihr echt Glück. LG Jörg

@@Joerg_Lenk Ja mit dem Gipfel fing es so an das die Felsen mit spiegelblankem "Blitzeis" bedeckt waren, so dass die größere Schwierigkeit der erste Felsen bei der Elena Hütte war. Dachten schon müssten aufgeben. Der Gipfel selber und der Abstieg waren dann top!!! Mein Plan für hoffentlich nächstes Jahr mögliche und dieses Jahr verschobene Mount Nun in Ladakh Indien. Wollte mal schauen ob ein 7000er noch drin ist.

Just correction mount Rwenzori is in Congo 🇨🇩 DRC and not from Uganda thanks.

Half/half this grade mountain is at the border. But we climbed from Uganda and had a nice View to Congo!!!
