I have an oilcloth bedroll that I have used for years with very little maintenance- it holds up great. Camping partners are always surprised when, despite rain and wind, I just sit up, tie the roll closed around me, roll over, and fall back asleep. It's a great period setup that really gets the job done.

I never feel as warm in winter as I do when I'm wearing my kilt. Wool is honestly one of the best fabrics for outdoors.

...the lads tease me calling me old-fashioned or square because I wear wool, oul-cloth and leather! I call them the "lycra-boys" and give them bad nightmares describing in gruesome detail what will happen to them if a nice spark from the fire!

I thought I would give my thoughts on this blanket after having it for close to a year now I bought me one of these wool blankets last year after this video and have been looking for a good wool blanket for a while and I will say that I absolutely love this blanket and very glad I bought it, I take it every where with me and every camping trip I go on and I'm usually camping about every weekend, Thanks for a great product

On an oil cloth trekkers tarp I’d definite want a tie on the middle, and not just the 4 corners. The wool blanket looks nice.

Purchase mine last week, received it in three days. It’s a very nice quality wool blanket. Very pleased with it. This week I purchased the Trekker Tarp. I've noticed a lot of bushcraft/camping/survival channels sell backpacks, tarps, gear and it's often high quality, but just very expensive. Good work finding that middle-ground between quality and price, without catering to the more 'well heeled' outdoorsman who will hapilly dump their wallets for 'the best' to cash-in on merch. Looks indestructible and good value for $£€¥. If only import charges to the UK weren't so steep, I'd be in like Flynn. Maybe next payday.

@@joeltaylor2830 I found a wool blanket on amazon which is apparently 100% new wool, but that's a rarity. TBS does some SRO gear without the massive import duties and shipping costs, but not the stuff I really want.

@@user-vi6wf4gh9x TBS has some good stuff, but a few things seem out of stock lately. Maybe it's the lockdown affecting supply? They don't do everything you want, but what they do have is usually quality, at reasonable price. Their own ferro rods are great, their TBS stainless cookware is well-made and designed and people seem to like their knives, on the whole. I'm no expert, but have you used 100% wool blankets before? It can be itchy. I've been recommended 90% wool by a number of people - it still retains heat well, but can be a bit more comfortable.

@@joeltaylor2830 I have 100% wool jumpers and they don't bother me at all so I don't see why a blanket would. I have a 80/20 wool & polyester blanket I use atm which is good, not itchy. Some people are allergic to lanolin which is why they itch.

That's about a 9' diagonal, less if you have a steep lean-to angle, probably close to 8' if it's not too steep. Not bad

Last Wool Blanket I got was a few years back from some good ole' boys an gals in Michigan. All made in Michigan even harvested the wool in Michigan or Wisconsin? The cost of that Wool Blanket even though its a thicker one was 3x plus this cost? So I sent them a email after David Cantebury made his confession or should I say Declaration of his style of business! So i have to ask you about the origins of this blanket. Is it American Made or foreign, I know Mexico is a great place for wool as is India, yet I have to ask exactly where these are made before I even think about ordering one. I do love wool blankets an they do make great gifts!
