how do you prevent disease wilt in older vines?

Couple of questions. 1) can you use these on tomato plants? 2) I know it benefits to move and lower, but could you just lower the plant straight down, just because I have raised beds with shade and I use hooks now.

1) Absolutely 2) vines May break and it is not good to have the plants on the ground.

Does the clips not restrict the main stem from enlarging in diameter?

Clip is foam so it accommodates growth. The clips are also moved regularly

any experience with lowering the vine to ground for secondary rooting before they reach the end of their productive cycle? i am curious if a second rooting point resets the plants memory. love the wickets, definitly my next seasons choice

What do you do with the cucumbers at the end of the row is there a way they come back again in the other direction?

You can use a post to wrap them around and go back the other way. That works really well.
