No doubt the Hoods influenced other artists that were coming up, in terms of those artists seeing what flavour of aussie hip hop was going to get airplay and what the public was bumping. Hence in subsequent years why we saw an explosion of guys getting airplay based around that sound. Illy, Allday, Sixty, Pez, Seth Sentry etc. Singing in the hooks, or singing themselves. Festival Hop took off man and why not, if that's what is going to give you a shot at making a living from doing something you love, then why not go down that path musically. Money is, after all, what reigns supreme and in the music business, success is measured on how many records or singles or merch you can sell.
