Be sure to check out the lesson video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/anm6f5tojLqIqKs Since a lot of you asked, the chord voicings on the chorus are: x-8-x-0-5-x x-5-x-0-3-x x-10-x-0-8-x x-8-x-0-5-x x-5-x-0-3-x x-2-x-0-0-x

Hey man, just wanted to say thank you. This heavenly sound, heavily encouraged me today. I've been running from the sound of heaven lately, and this reminded me how much better it is than the sound of this world. Keep playing and keep pursuing. Great work.

Hi Justin. Great cover. I like it better than the actual recording. Your tone is awesome. I play for my church and your guitar skills are an encouragement for me to play better. Thanks.

Hey Justin, any way i could get tabs for the intro swell part? I’m still new to guitar so I can’t really tell what your playing.
@JustinMuncy4 жыл бұрын
Hey Mili! It's super simple. You're just going to grab the top part of an A shaped C chord. Just hit fret 5 of the G and B string, and fret 3 of the E string. Then pull your pinky off to Hit 5 on G, 3 on B and 3 on E for the other shape.

man I'm suuuper in love with your tone! General question, how are you EQing to emphasize that woody hollow sound out of the falcon?
@JustinMuncy6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much man. Are you talking about EQ in post or EQ on the amp? In general, I'd say it's the combination of FX and the amp that really help me craft the sound. I typically run my amp pretty broken up. Pre - Amp Volume up to about 7. Then Treble 5.5 Mid 4 Bass 6. I try to run my FX so that they aren't adding or taking away too much in terms of the brightness.

awesome! That actually helped me make a couple tweaks last night that really helped me get the sound I've been looking for. Keep up the great work!

Which Falcon are you playing?? Is it the G6636T Players Edition Falcon™ Center Block Double-Cut with String-Thru Bigsby??? Sounds amazing.
@JustinMuncy6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Robin! - she's been a great guitar for me. And she's held up through getting banged around on the road. Major plus! Here's the model number: Gretsch White Falcon G6139T - CBDC I bought my Gretsch before the Player Edition's came out. So mine is the classic Bigsby Posts. It's annoying to restring, but you kinda get used to it, and find strategies of doing it easier.

@JustinMuncy6 жыл бұрын
Yo Jerry! I'm actually going to post a follow up video in a couple of days on my pedals specifically. For this one Verse 1 is the Fulldrive 2 in comp cut, Chorus 3 Bridge and Chorus 4 is the JHS Moonshine. It's a big plate verb sound out of the Bigsky and small plate on Verse 2. Hope that helps!

What chords are you playing?
@JustinMuncy6 жыл бұрын
Yo Geraldine! Verses: Am F C G | Choruses: F Am G | Bridge: F C G F G Am | Last Chorus: F C G I'm doing some funky inversions with an open string. I explain it a little more in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/anm6f5tojLqIqKs Hope that helps!
