Hi Trey, we're glad that our translated videos of Hua Chenyu have been helpful to you. Hua Chenyu's music transcends language barriers and has attracted many international fans. People who don't understand Chinese are drawn closer to the world of his music. However, understanding the lyrics would allow a deeper understanding of Hua Hua's music and the messages he wants to convey. We look forward to more of your reaction and sharing.

He had described this song that this about after a concert and went back to his room, surrounded by darkness and loneliness, all that happened in the concert was like a beautiful dream that had never happened. Like what his fans has felt after his concert. I’ve been to 3 of his concert, one in this year, I just don’t feel enough. I wish I could go to every one of them. Apart from the enormous stage, lighting and sound quality that Hua has invested in, the atmosphere was something I can’t describe. A 3 hour night concert went like 15 mins. You can just feel the love and bonding between Hua and his fans. The audience knows when to sing a long, when to dance and yell, and when to enjoy his music quietly. He talks a lot with the audience during the concert, about the background of his song, why he wrote them, what messages he’s trying to give. And he makes fun of his audiences and they make fun of him. It feels like he’s talking to a friend he sees every day. They laugh with him and cry with him.that’s why when it finishes every one feels lonely and empty, including Hua. I enjoyed every moment of it. It’s one of the best experiences in my life.

I love your enthusiasm and emotionality! You can also enjoy this dramatic thing from a funny side. There are two videos on HCY English subs. First to watch is the one about singing wrong lyrics and after that this song with knees down. It will be not only fun. It will show how unique he is.

Thank you for this great reaction Tre. Mars Concert is such an amazing festival that HuaHua organises for his fans, he tries so hard to give his fans an unforgettable experience, even going so far as to arrange for shoe covers when the ground was muddy and dry ice/water mist cannons for when it was forecast to be very hot. This song is just beautiful, it captures the almost contradictory two sides of HuaHua so well, the introvert who wants to be invisible and unknown and the performer who comes alive on stage and loves to make his audience happy. 🌺🌺

I went to two Wuhan concerts as well. It's wonderful that during this song, the audience was silent to listen. During other songs, people would sing along. It's really an amazing concert. During the 3-hour evening session, not a single moment was boring. The big ring on top of the concert will snow during the song "Meet when flowers fall". It means that our hair will turn white together, quite a romantic gesture at the concert. Other times, laser lights projected from the big ring and the stage would make an incredible light show of curved lights that sweep low, change shapes and create smokey and colorful screens on fog generated by the stage machines against the big drop of the stage. The screens on the stage can be moved by giant mechanical apparatus, creating different backdrops not only in terms of the videos played on the screens but also in different configurations. It's definitely hugely extravagant. Hua Hua said himself that the stage is hugely expansive and designed by teams that worked on the stage for the Olympics in Summer 2008 and recently the Winter Olympics. Yet he will use a new stage design for the Sept concert in Beijing. This wonderful stage toured only 4 cities and 11 shows. It will not be used in his tour anymore. Truly a once a lifetime experience. Experience it while you can. Or it's gone forever.

What a wonderful reaction to this beautiful, intimate song. In an interview he explained how the song came to be…A friend had asked him if there was one thing he could forget, what would he choose. Initially, he said he would not forget anything; but after thinking more, he said he would choose to make the world forget him, because of his desire to sometimes be invisible (because "if I don't exist, I won’t be disturbed"), which appeals to his very introverted, shy side. Although he knows that is not possible, since he is too well known, he said with a little laugh. It takes courage for Hua Hua to choose to be open and honest with us, both in his good times and bad....so authentic and real.💗💗

Amazing reaction to Hua Hua! I love that you've looked into who Hua Hua is and the whole Mars experience. Every Mars concert, after Hua Hua has finished singing the initial songs, the first thing he always says is, "Welcome Home". Mars is the home where Martians gather and it feels like coming home. When asked why he's never raised his concert ticket prices for ten years now, he said that Mars is an annual gathering and it's best if everyone can come. Still, he spends an incredible amount of money on the stage and providing for Martians who come to the concerts. There's a video of him talking about the feelings behind When the Whole World Forgets Me, when he's introducing this song. It's been translated by Hua Chenyu Eng. Subs and is on their channel. He talks about the excitement of the concert and then the lonliness of being in his room by himself. This year, right after the last concert in Changsha, he sent out an invite to a livestream and spent 40 minutes talking with Martians. He said he'd been feeling a little post concert syndrome and he added that he felt better after talking with everyone. Hua Chenyu is the real deal. No pretense, no arrogance. I was so fortunate to be able to fly from California to Wuhan in May to see two of his concerts and I met some beautiful Martians. Most from China but others, who are on here, from Europe and the US and we'll be meeting up again in September to see three of his concerts in Beijing. So so so very lucky to be able to do that. I'm so looking forward to your upcoming reactions to Hua Hua. BTW, just an FYI because it really doesn't matter, but I'm attaching a link to a little video clip with some name pronounciations. lol kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5rTYWeIZceDmNk. The connection between Hua Hua and Martians is very strong. You reacted to the song "Conversations with Martian Children" live but I hope you will go to Hua Chenyu Eng Subs and look up the Official Music Video and the teaser. This shows how that song was created with Hua Hua and Martians together and the video really says it all.
Thank you so much! I love your reaction to this song, my most favorite song in Hua's album 5. I am kind of person who doesn't like repetitive, routine & my experience for the last 6 years following Hua's music journey is that there are versions in each song; Hua always brought new emotions in each of his performance. To me Hua is the only artist who I could continue to listen few hours in a row; he such a master in putting you in a roller coster of emotions with no boundaries & full of surprises. When I decided to attend Mars Concert this year, I thought may be I should skip the day sessions to save energy for night session & I wasn't sure if I would be in good shape for continuously three days; what happened was I was there for three completely rainy days forgot about time terms & just don't want it's end & the effects after concert is real deal! And you know what: I am ready for Mars Concert this Sept. in Birds's nest!❤

Absolutely nailed it Tre. Loved this Reaction. It was quiet, thoughtful and seeing what Hua Hua was saying. Yes, Mars 2023 has been spectacular. Think Hua Hua was Director too. I think visually, "God Tree" is the one which makes you hold your breath. Yes, Hua Hua is determined fans will play together, sing together, dance together and have had an experience. Not 100% certain, but I think ticket prices are tge same as when he started 10 years ago. ❤️

Thank you so much for your excellent reaction Tre! I've been to Hua's Wuhan cocert end of April and that was realy an experience, the whole atmosphere is just amazing and I specially love Hua's interactions with his Martians. During the concert, there's always a moment for an improvisation based on what the Martians are shouting at him, Martians will yell "let's chat" and so he'll talk and play some impro with them and it's always very funny. Also he will play the piano for the audience while they sing one of his songs and if they fail, he'll help them go on, but at the end he'll tease them that they failed miserably and he's disappointed. Also a recurring joke is that whenever he removes his jackets, everybody shouts "strip, strip, strip!" and he'll answer something like "This is a healthy concert" in a funny way! 🤣 Hua's concerts are also a kind of fashion show, as he will change costumes and assorted jewelry at least 5 times per concert, his outfits are always awesome, sometimes very surprising, it's truly another highlight of the concerts. I'll go to his Beijing concert in September and can't wait. This time the concerts will occur in the largest Chinese stadium, the Bird's Nest, has 90K seats. Hua will hold two evening concerts, possibly three if the demand is too high, and it will be a seated concert with a completely new stage. Usually HuaHua uses 4 sided stages in stadiums, that's all I know for sure, because I won't even start to imagine the kind of stage Hua will create for us. Cheers from France! 🥰❤

Due to indoor stadiums' rules and restrictions, fans can't jump and dance a long with the music. HuaHua decided to find park to build the Mars Kingdom, home to Martians. At home you are able relax, wear what you are comfortable or for fun, eat, play, teasing each other, sing and dance etc....😀🌹🌹

Thoroughly enjoyed your comments and kudos for digging into what Hua's Mar's concert is about. How Hua suddenly became instantly famous after his debut and how he has evolved to his current status is heart warming and also heart wrenching. You are so right. Music is his soul. At your spare time or if you like listen to the studio version with just his vocals and piano. You can really feel the vibe of the song and also a little surprise towards the end. Thank you again for your reaction to this beautiful soulful intimate song. Also thank the person for recommending Hua's songs. You should check out Creep from his earlier Mars concert in the red suit. Not many react to it. But Hua does a very dramatic interpretation of the meaning of the song. If you like dramatic, out of the box performance, you may enjoy it.
