Another fantastic video Andrew and Robi! So great- thank you so much. I love the Treme. When I moved back to Toronto after living in NOLA in the 90's, I would talk about the Treme as being so very special but it was so hard to translate. I was so happy when the show came out- made people understand what I had been on about. By the way- I grew up Catholic but don't practice, but when I lived in the Marigny, I would go to St Augustine's for the holidays. At Easter time, on Palm Sunday, the Sunday before Easter, the Pastor rode in on a real donkey. It was awesome. When Katrina hit I was very concerned with the citizens, of course, but I also had a little worried wonder about the church donkey that, rumour had it, was tethered in the Lower 9th. It was a very long time ago...Thanks again guys- keep them coming!

Thank you both for speaking the truth in history and not sugar coating it. It's important to know what actually happened so that hopefully it can change in the future. I love your videos. Just found this channel and I'm soaking up all of the history. I hope to actually visit this beautiful city one day.

I have thoroughly enjoyed being educated here on this video! Always loved the culture there and the essence. Powerful and strong with black history. I'm from Mississippi, my great grand father Eugene Davis was from Jamaica and married a creole (mulatto) woman Lizzie or Lizzy Yancy from New Orleans.

Fantastic history!!! You guys are so smart and knowledgeable. I really learned so much about New Orleans history. I used to live in NOLA before the storm. Although I know a lot of these neighborhoods and some history I learned so much more watching this! 🤩

A few years ago my husband and "found" New Orleans and it's our happy place! Since then we celebrated our 25th anniversary there, three trips last year and we're coming again in about a month. This city has that je ne sais quois. If you feel it, you know. We hope to retire there one day and we'll be reaching out to Kayla, for sure! I just love all ya'll's energy and personalities. Robi just makes my heart happy. 💗💗 I recently found your channel and we definately hope to take a tour with you next month.

You're doing a great job! Keep it coming. Louis Armstrong had a home in Chicago on 44th Street! The house is still there. We used to see him sometimes as kids. He would perform at the old ballroom impromptu on 43rd and Calumet Avenue. That ballroom is being restored. Miss Mahalia had a home there too further south and sometimes attended old Progressive Baptist Church. You should see it.

I just watched Parts one and two of the(Andrew's) Katrina walking tour, and ended with this one of Treme. My family just came back from NOLA two weeks ago. We saw a lot but I wanted to see more and freetoursbyfoot virtual tours were just the ticket. We DID go on a freetoursbyfoot of the French Quarter (with Sandy, who was great with her dry wit and knowledge) and we did go to the Presbytere but these videos filled out so much more of the information. We stayed at an Airbnb IN Treme but due to time and weather didn't explore as much of Treme as we would have liked. So thank you for this!
