Love that road! Always ride it when I'm in the area. I appreciate both the history and the labor required to maintain it - I've some across a couple of crews resetting the stones in the curves over the years. I usually spend a few days in Andermatt riding the local roads. I've seen a lot of changes in the 20 years that I've been visiting. Not happy with all of them, but life goes on and the town still lives. Thanks for the ride along. I haven't been there since the wind turbines were built. Need to correct that.

Amazing drive! My grandparents and my mum toured the mainland a few yrs after WW2 and I remember tales of going over the Gotthard in a motorcycle and sidecar!

Eine herrliche Fahrt auf der alten historischen Tremola-Passstraße zum Gotthard-Pass. Hinauf sind es 24 Kehren. Auf der Passhöhe befinden sich 5 Seen. Man kann dort auch übernachten und eine Seenwanderung machen. Danke für's Mitnehmen☺🍀💕

Why on earth does the road split just after the summit only to come together again further down the mountain? These are very difficult roads to construct. Two is even difficulter! It seems to have been planned by the Department of Swiss Redundancy Department.
