Everything about this is perfect. The guitars are epic, the drumming is solid, and the bass is awesome. Mark has an amazing voice and Eric's compliments very well too. This is pure talent.

I gotta say, I hadn't heard a word about who this drummer was or if he was any good. But after hearing previews and these live videos (thanks, by the way), he's a fucking awesome drummer!!! Sounds amazing so far!!! Only 5 more days!!!

I'm happy that your taste in music is good enough to consider Tremonti to be "the top," because he is quite great. But just a reminder, in my experience, "the top" is transient...

The drummer is Garrett Whitlock...I think I spelled it right. He and Eric are formly of the band Submersed which I highly recommend. Submersed was a great band.

id rate mark as the no 1 guitarist in top 100 guitarists of all time, after ab III, and now espacially after his solo project, he's really become the top guitarist\musician rock on mark \m/ fuck! that solo was amazing!

So weird to see him as "front man" now! But it's friggin awesome!

Mark is the man but holy shit Garrett (drummer) is sick! My favorite part is the offbeat part at 3:52. That is hard as hell to play and he nails it!!! Props to Garrett!

On further review, Tremonti might just have been heavily-influenced by Petrucci. Anyway, the two have a mutual respect and a working relationship. I know for a fact that Petrucci wrote "Stream of Consciousness" on a Tremonti signature PRS guitar, citing the feel of the guitar as a source for the feel of the song. I guess my over-arching point is that awesome guitarists are awesome, and I hate rating anyone, but just enjoy loving each of them when they fit my moods.

I love Mark, and I think he is a fantastic guitarist, but did you know he was taught by John Petrucci? A man who I consider to be a technically more adept guitarist. There are other guitarists who can play even faster and more precisely than Petrucci (Paul Gilbert, for one), but I guess my main point is that rating guitarists/musicians at all is almost entirely pointless.
