😂😂 not to put people in jail, but just to provide general information about what's going on in the hood. they don't actually put cases on people. they're basically updating the fbi about the gangs just in case something crazy may happen, they'll have their fingers on it. but the feds have 7+ years to prosecute you if you stop committing crimes TODAY. but if you continue to commit crimes everyday, that 7+ years just continually starts again everyday. so they pay people just to tell them stuff. it's conitel-pro's modern-day equivalent----regular cops can't really tell them what's going on because nobody tells them. so they put an informant in every neighborhood, pay them, and they just have meetings over the phone & let them know who's selling drugs, who's at war, who's becoming allies, and etc etc any information...but it doesn't result in people getting arrested. the FBI just loves information....they aren't going to get you until they have solid evidence--99% conviction rate. a paid informant is usually non-credible and a felon. that alone isn't enough to put people in prison---they are just the CNN for the FBI. but they're in every hood in every city lol. it's not non-normal, it's normal. you'll never know who they are because they don't appear in court.
