do we have calibration on it? Because if you could not calibrate it to a waterlevel, it could show anything....

Looks like you can zero it, which I presume is what you mean.

@@ian1352 zero, it's relative. For that you will need a flat reference each time. Calibration, mean you set default zero, lets say once a year or something....

I cant help noticing the magnetic contact face has quite a lot of swarf on it which will make the readings you are getting inaccurate.
