Hey DIY enthusiasts! Welcome back to our channel. Today, I’m super excited to show you how to create a stylish high-low top paired with fabulous flared palazzo pants for your little one. It’s a trendy ensemble that’s perfect for any occasion.
Step 1: Materials
Gather all the materials you’ll need for this project:
• Fabric for the top and pants
• Measuring tape
• Scissors
• Sewing machine
• Thread
• Elastic
• Pins
Step 2: Taking Measurements
Take accurate measurements of your baby’s chest, waist, hips, and length for both the top and pants. This ensures a perfect fit.
Step 3: Cutting the Fabric
Using the measurements, cut out the fabric pieces for the top and pants. For the top, we’ll create a high-low effect by cutting the front shorter than the back. For the pants, cut wide leg pieces for that chic palazzo style.
Step 4: Sewing the Top
Start by sewing the side seams of the top pieces together. Then, attach the front and back pieces, leaving openings for the sleeves. Hem the neckline and sleeves for a clean finish.
Step 5: Creating the High-Low Effect
To achieve the high-low look, carefully trim the front of the top shorter than the back, making sure it’s even on both sides.
Step 6: Making the Palazzo Pants
Sew the inner leg seams of the pant pieces together. Then, attach the front and back pieces, leaving space for the waistband. Hem the bottom of the pants.
Step 7: Adding the Waistband
Measure and cut elastic for the waistband of the pants. Attach it securely, ensuring it’s snug but comfortable for your baby.
