Hi Lou! Love your discipline and mindfulness in putting extra thought and time in considering your purchases. Another idea that can also help is probably asking yourself, "which one in my collection am I ready to let go for this?" since you also practice one in, one out. I love your collection and it seems these bags isn't worth letting go of anything in your wardrobe ❤

Not hating on Miu Miu because I had a smooth leather tote bag from them that I loved! but That miu miu pattern makes me think of exposed human muscle😅 like those science charts/posters we had in elementary school

I'm so with you on oversaturation! It is guaranteed to put me off. That being said, I live in a provincial Danish town, so the reality is I don't see many designer bags on the streets. Often, I find something is hyped on social media, but I don't see it on the streets. This is obviously going to be different in a large city. Your way of thinking about something for a while is so sensible, especially with a large ticket item. It's important to think about whether a bag will work before spending a lot of money - a lot don't hold their value, so even though I dont buy with a view to reselling, it's just wise to avoid buying something that is beautiful, but just won't get the wear.

I feel like I’ve felt like you about the Miu Miu pattern but I also keep seeing it and loving Miu Miu more and more. So now I’m more into it, especially the more rectangular bags (not sure the name). I’m not a luxury bag owner but if I ever get one it would be a Prada or Miu Miu (or both 😁)

I love this video! I always have a wishlist! I became obsessed with the Row Margaux 15 that I thought about it everyday and researched daily!! All I saw was sold out and waitlist for months! SO I said Im glad because I don't need it. Until finally I saw one day last month several were available for purchase and I took it as a sign to get it and I did! I have no regrets! Now I want one more!

Hi Lou, I love your channel so much❤ I feel the same way about the Chanel 22. I tried one on and it was cuter than I expected on me, but it still feels like something that I would get sick of quickly. Also I feel same way with the miu miu bag! The pattern on the leather makes me feel uncomfortable. It kind of makes me think of like muscle tissue like on a drawing in a biology textbook or something hahahaha. I have the same hang up with the Chanel 22! I was against it at first but it has really grown on me. I almost bought it in a bright blue mini but my hubby kept saying it looked like plastic. And I do worry about wear issues. But deep down I still want to add one to my collection!

I am a tote girl, so the Margaux bag intrigues me but at that price point it’s not on my list. the LP bag is similar to the Hermes Kelly pochette. It’s at a good price point but it’s so hyped that you can’t get it. I ended up buying an OLEADA bag and I like it. It’s cute, holds a lot, has a back pocket, fits my phone…..all positives. The only negative is the strap, wish they would have done two different straps rather than trying to make one strap versatile. I too am loving the new BV styles, but again the price point is the downside. No to the Chanel 22 but the 31 is intriguing. The Chanel Kelly is similar to your Hermes Kelly so it could end up not being used as much. Unfortunately both are very hard to come by even if you want one! Love your assessments of these items, we have similar tastes.

Agreed with you on the trendy bags... though one bag I have surprisingly fallen in love with is Chanel 22. Love that you can throw everything in it, and the chain makes the "trash bag" like shape chic and nonchalant. Why did you sell your Deauville tote?

OMG, I totally agree with you on everything. I actually asked for additional pics of the Chanel 31 in a light green and it looked horrible. It looked like a knock off and I agree, the Chanel 22 I can't just get into. I feel the same with the trash bag and I don't think overtime, it will hold value. I do love Chanel 19s and just got one in a limited edition color.

Agree on all.. but the chanel31 is v nice. I have it and use it all the time🙃. Easy to pack when travel.. both andiamo tote n clutch worth. I use my kelly cut alot which is similar to bv clutch. Perfect for formal events like attending weddings, graduation, high tea. I bought the gold andiamo clutch which is perfect for jeans as well as dresses. My bv andiamo tote in taupe. Super versatile

The Chanel Kelly reminds me of the plastic toy handbags of (barbie or similar) dolls that little girls would play with... it was my first thought, completely turned me off from the bag.

Love my LP L27. The one flaw is it doesn’t have a top handle. The strap extends out fully eliminating it. The smaller (trendy L19) is the one with the top handle and removable strap.

You could buy birkins earlier just like that and suddenly they stoped and made mission impossible, same thing with margaux bag, its sold out in the whole world and its starting to be mission impossible…and we will see Lou with a preloved Margaux :) Sorry Lou but the jodie bag is the name for everyone ones them and you want a new :) I have 2 Margaux but the black one soft leather I am carry with me everyday, everyway..🍀

I have the andiamo Clutch!Honestly i love it but i dont Like the andiamo Tote. It is ridiculous with this handle in the middle and the strap is too thin for a strap. The Clutch is my favorite but i am very tall so it is not too big on me. For Date Nights etc. Perfect to be cool and ladylike at the Same Time. But it is enough Space in it.

I agree on all the bags but the Chanel 22. It took me a long time to even consider the bag but after owning it in black, I want one in white now. I just absolutely love it, it’s my most used bag, it’s comfortable, fits all my things easily. I love bringing it on vacations, it’s the best! ❤ My husband even joke that after getting all my Hermès bags, I gravitate around my 22 way way more, he’s like what a waste of time and money.😂

I think the reason you don’t feel Chanel bag/s because you hook to Hermes quality which Chanel lack of in the last 5-6 years. I feel that same way about Chanel quality & leather just way too thin and the price is far from the quality. Don’t fall for the trend I learnt that from the GG Mermont belt 😂
