I'm 62 riding Honda Forza 300cc scooter and its ideal for old fart touring in Scotland, where I live. Full automatic, heated grips its perfectly. You don't need a lot of bike for touring.

I'm 64 and the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S is a great motorcycle for myself. The excellent Ohlins suspension provides a very smooth and comfortable ride. Excellent Brembo brakes.

For senior riders, managing the weight of the bike becomes an increasing issue. Heavy bikes like a Harley are a no-go area.

I was thinking the same, that's why I like Scooters, easy to use and get on. I've got a Honda Forza 300cc scooter and it's excellent.

Depending what you mean by senior - very few of these bikes qualify. An older person with perhaps less strength - knee or hip problems does not need to be riding some super weight cruiser or extra tall adventure bike. With slower reaction times they should not be on some 100HP + rocket. Also if the Triumph T100 makes them nostalgic for the bikes of their youth then they are probably already 80+ . Ideal bikes for older riders would be low seat hight, under 600cc, low weight bikes. Sadly not too many on the market that are also over 200cc. Honda rebel 500, Triumph 400, Royal enfield 350's and definitely not Harleys!

Do NOT buy a gold / lead wing or anything over 650 cc , too complicated & way heavy . I think big bikes soon to be banned by clean air guys .
