I figured it out. Mrs. Pargiter, the lady often seen sitting at the station, first met her now-deceased husband on that platform many years ago. He was an ardent train enthusiast and she got to know him on that very platform. After his death, she likes to come and sit, the noise and movement of the trains, a link to her lost youth and lost love. Other than that, good to see blue skies replacing the anticyclonic gloom of the past few days.

Hi Doug, even if the idea is 25 years old, the videos are as fresh as ever. I have enjoyed the recent series of long shots around the station and the incline to the upper level, and you even brought blue skies which is really uplifting with the present set-in gloom!

Its sometime a bit difficult to be motivated when only a few people watch a video that's taken many hours to put together and then comes along a comment like this. Thanks for your support over the years its really appreciated and further boosts my motivation. Another Main Station long shot with blue skies tomorrow.......
