Trent must've been laughing at the likes of Kane getting upset over mild criticism when the English media have hounded him throughout his career and he's barely said a word

If you can’t hack it, your never gonna be at the top. Maybe a part of a reason of the Harry Kane curse is he gives into criticism instead of just playing the game.

It's on Alexander-Arnold The Great's shoulders for being dropped from the England starting eleven and what has been happening at FSG Liverpool the last 2.5 seasons. Doesn't he see himself as a midfielder and wishes to be indulged to the detriment of the team? 🤣🤣🤣

The interviewer in this video was nauseating with how he kept comparing Southgate to Jurgen Klopp there is literally no comparison here Jurgen is one of the top 3 best mangers in world football. I thought Trent was very diplomatic in this conversation but there was a clear agenda from the interviewer.

I'm not familiar with this interviewer and their agendas/biases but I took it more that he was just comparing two managers that were very important to Trent, not "here are two managers that are on the same level". The only agenda was that the interviewer knows that the players are much more appreciative of Southgate, and seemingly much less critical than the media, so the comparison to Klopp, a well respected manger internationally, was to help the viewer see the respect that Trent has for Southgate as well. Could be talking out my ass but that's what I took away from this interview.

@@Jfarbs18 I feel like Trent is being far to nice and diplomatic in regards to Southgate. The only thing Trent is appreciative for is that he gave him his first cap as an England player. Beyond that he played him out of position or did not play him at all for years on end.

No hate to Trent, love Trent. But this interviewer is a media plonker. Imagine the way the written press and sky sports are trying to blame Linekar. All GL said was the performance was shit and then explained why in his opinion he thought it was shit. Everybody in the country thought it was shit and all these hypocrites in the media and especially Talksport with all there fat presenters have said much worse about Gareth and the players. This is why the media are done in my opinion. Also GS was talking about planning to play Trent in midfield for a year, if that’s the case how was none of this worked on in friendly games. That’s why I criticise GS not because he isn’t a nice man which he obviously is.

Wasn’t actively listening (looked down onto his paper as TAA was speaking) and constantly tried to squeeze out a sensationalist quote from the interviewee just for the headline. Classy from Trent. He's being far too nice for the way he was treated. He was non worse than any other player in those first 2 games, yet he was scapegoated by Southgate. Complete sc*mbag move that whole thing by Southgate. He was unfer pressure because of performances. He saw a scapegoat opportunity and threw Trent straight under the bus publicly to save himself. He literally blamed the performances on Trent, which couldn't be further from the truth. As i say, very classy from Trent here because he's better than almost all of those players. If I was him, I'd have refused to play for Southgate again for the way he's been treated. He embarrassed Trent in front of the whole footballing world. The guy is sc*m.

This 100% - everyone knew it and suddenly as the performances failed to improve the press suddenly started calling for TAA to be back in the side. TAA in midfield didn't work as his best attribute is he passing but you need players to be moving to pass to, not just stood like 10 Daleks, I think Pickford move more than Englands outfield players. GSG was very lucky to get the job and rode that luck for 8 years, if he had stayed TAA should have retired from England duty as per Ben White who saw through GSG ages ago, why travel to sit on the bench when you can have some rest and spend time with your family.

This guy is the best player England has and he wasn’t used properly it was criminal behaviour, I have so much respect for Trent after these euros, the way he conducted himself in a professional manner and slotting the winning penalty away like he took it in his own back garden against one of his mates in goal, all this after not being properly utilised and his talents clearly being dismissed by Southgate. He could easily say no to playing for England (which the majority of scouse Liverpool fans would want him to do because they hate England) but he chooses to represent his country because he has ambitions to be truly great for club and country. I hope the next England manager can see how techy and talented he is and use him PROPERLY next time around. Big respect.🫡

This is hilarious. “The final… how do you see it?” And his look says it all. Too bad he can’t speak honestly. England lost because of Southgate. I said during the first group stage match that England was done due to Southgates lack of ability. Should have been a 4-3-3 that shifts to a 3-box-3 in attack and goes back to 4-3-3 off the ball. Pickford (I would have chose ramsdale) Trent-walker/tomori-stones-Gomez or walker-tomori-stones-Trent (idk why tomori wasn’t in the squad he’s the best English defender. Too bad no Ben white he’d be perfect instead of walker) Bellingham-rice-foden Saka-Palmer or even Watkins or Bowen-GORDON FFS. In possession it shifts to Walker/stones-tomori-gomez or walker-tomori-stones Trent-rice Bellingham-foden Saka-Palmer-Gordon (ideally whichever cf is willing to press the defenders /cdm while the wingers press the fullbacks and defenders when cf drops into midfield to help press and torment the cdm)

If he speaks honestly he's hated even more by every single English fan other than a Liverpool fan. Probably gets fined by the FA, probably gets ostracised from the squad even more than he already is. If I were him, I'd have told Southgate to ram it when he scapegoated him and embarrassed him in front of the whole footballing world. He literally used trent to take the attention off himself because he was an easy target with the "midfield experiment." Southgate knew full well that the media were unfairly blaming trent when there were 9 other players just as bad or worse, so he caved and did the cowardly thing in throwing Trent under the bus to ease the pressure on himself. Proper sc*mbag of a man to do that. Talk about protecting your players. He hung Trent out to dry, telling the media he missed kevin Phillips, and the experiment had failed. Correction, your whole 11 and tactics failed. Nothing to do with trent, he 100% was NOT worse than Rice, Foden or Kane in those first 2 games, yet Gareth let him take the fall.

Trent is the best player to have if you want to play with a swift transition and pace and deep inspired passing to forwards racing towards goal. Not Southgate s approach. I hope he goes to Real Madrid and is given the platform he deserves.

Trent needs to be the main man in midfield, he’s NOT a defensive player! If he ever moved to Real Madrid, he would show his true ability and talent! He actually looks disinterested and maybe even resigned to the fact that he will leave Anfield soon. This knob nose interviewer urgently needs to attend a primary and secondary school on the basics of conducting an interview!

Probably the most overrated player in world football currently. His agent linking him with Madrid is hilarious with how Ancelotti plays, Carvajal and Mendy are left 1v1 numerous times per game and are expected to compete aerially every week, Trent has 14 aerial duels in the entire 23/24 season. Trent has the 9th most crosses in PL history, yet he's only had 13 assists in his past 2 seasons. He was Liverpools 7th top assists this season in the PL despite an abundance of creative freedom and the 5th most minutes played. He's fast becoming a myth in the modern game, especially over the last 2 seasons and his entire competitive England career. Madrid don't want him, he's played against Madrid 6 times, lost 5 and made multiple mistakes against them over the years.

@@adamscott6719 No he doesn't, Robertson has the most assists as a defender, he took over him last season At least get your facts right. However he does have the 9th most crosses in the PL HISTORY, not in the last 10 years but since the PL began, that's more than nearly every winger in PL history, he's 100 crosses behind KDB, despite Trent having half the assists.

@@MrPeanut17lufc yeah my bad he over took him by 1 assist last season but has played over 4000 extra minutes than Trent 😂 Trent’s assists dropped off when they tweaked his positioning, if klopp had kept playing him in the wingback role no doubt he would have way more. Why keep banging on about the number of crosses? The fact he has more crosses than kdb but less assists doesn’t mean a lot as they play different positions and players have to convert the cross into a goal so Trent can’t be to blame if people haven’t finished
