Your not alone Seth. Our pets remind us of how innocent and vulnerable all the creatures of this earth are without our love and care. Many are being wiped out as we speak. Humanity and this planet we live on will never be clean and pure until all those who mistreat the planets creatures are punished. You’ll be spared due to your compassion.. A storm is coming for those who do not.
@catbat0611 ай бұрын
I remember when my ferret had to be put down. I was a grown man. I had to take time off work. It felt so silly, my manager was both compassionate and clearly found it surreal. Truth is he was right, but the feelings were real. We invest love in these things and losing them makes us confront some basic stuff about life and existence. And animals truly are beautiful and innocent and deserve every bit of love we give them.

As the sun sets for the final time you reassure your children that it will rise again, knowing that your falsehoods turn to ash on your tongue. The world will never return to the way it was before the disater, but your children don't need to know that. The forehead kisses are the penultimate mercy they will receive. They'll never see the last stain on your conscience, nor the final squabbles for the last moldy piece of bread and firewood. You blow out the candle in your meager den. The starts glimmer on the ice-rimed windows. All is quiet outside, and soon inside too.
