1: SICK ASS MUSIC, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW 2: What i find really interresting about Trepang is how the enemy are "humanized", yet the "player character" is really only a faceless mute, a sentient gun, an unknown/alien entity. You experince it from not only playing the game, with your enemies running frantically around upon your arrivel, only to immediately start panicking and crumble under by simply being near your vicinity, they seem to understand just how dangerous you acutally are. But also from the splash art in this video, enemy soldier either dying or fleeing, while the player character (or "subject 106") is in the background and obscured. I believe F.E.A.R did the same thing, with "pointman" being a faceless doll and all the human elements was in the replicant soldiers you're fighting.

They are both humanised and also *not* humanised. Their voices are usually under a sort of Radio filter, making them sound more like Robots than actual human beings. It's an interesting dynamic.

Even what little is said in that track is a reference to what Harlan Wade says to baby Pointman... and Fetal's mission to be Reborn. It just sums up who Subject 106 is in a few seconds.

It reminds me of a LITTLE bit of Sun Araw Horse Steppin, just the intros of both songs have a similar vibe, fitting since Trepang reminds me of FEAR and Hotline Miami. Amazing game, can't wait for the full release, the campaign is super surprising me too, I was just excited for the games arena aspect and playing it mechanically, but just played the first level of the Demo today and had a blast. Great voice acting too, reminded me of Payday 2's in a good way lol

OH MY GOD THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED Despite Fear 1 being chaotic, it only had atmospheric tracks. Shit where you're running and gunning, sliding and gibbing mfs with a Spas 12 definitely made me wonder why Monolith didnt compose any badass, action packed soundtracks for Point Man to vibe to. Anyways, shit goes hard af. Mick Gordon has introduced me to Industrial Metal, and you guys are making me love it even more!

@@lukky6648 the ambient tracks in fear 3 were great, the combat stuff was trash though. speaking of fear 3, theres a very underrated part of the game when you are in the city and walking trough apartaments, you see a blood splatter that looks like alma and you see tvs with messages on them, its a great moment most players miss.

When Stylish hits, I go ballistic. This game is the kinda stuff I've needed. Simple, genuine unadulterated F U N. I can't get enough of the demo and will 100% buy the game on release. Really enjoying the demo. Can't lie though, my ears are begging for more music like Serenity! I hope it get reprised in the game at key moments for the player to experience either realization of the lore or that build-up before realizing the stakes or the challenge we are about the face! The in-action music is killer and I love it all as well. Serenity is just the one that sticks out the most as having the most memorable potential if executed right.

I unfortunately had no idea what Trepang was, I am a fan of DOOM and I threw my fingers at stupendous speeds in ULTRAKILL, but I found Trepang2 on 3/23/23, and it is the perfect game to kill everything, my favorite demo feature is the combat simulator, the wave survival game, and Horde PERFECTLY sums up the wave survival vibe. This soundtrack is a masterpiece.

I Want longer versions of some of these. +Ultra especially because it feels way too short just for general listening outside of the game. Overall most of the songs have a strong and ANGRY energy. Some of the 'vocals' in the background like near the end of Plus Ultra or in Eco Round has a major YAKUZA "Fiercest Warrior" vibe to me and I love it a lot!

My only criticism (and this is really minor because all the ost is still really good) is that all the songs start to kind of blend in together over time. Like for example in doom although the songs all had the metal vibe to them, it was still easy to distinguish between slayer gates, bfg division and flesh and metal while still getting the same experience

Подкаты происходят слишком быстро и слишком далеко Когда я проходил мимо тел, их швыряло по всей комнате Выцеливать головы в игре крайне неудобно, добавьте пожалуйста прицеливание в виде приближения, как в том же F.E.A.R. Shame they didn't lean more into that brutal style of atmospheric metal they pioneered with the original combat tracks. Really gives you that feeling that there's more than just carnage going on here, but you're gonna be knee-deep in gore before you start figuring it out.

i really like trepang2 as it's an awesome game. Horde mode is very fun. By the way I somehow got trepang 2019 demo running on a 2009 pc I have had in my basement for a while with a 2013 graphics card and Intel core 2 duos lol it gives 30 fps. I love the soundtrack! Keep it up!
