And now for a Survival run that isn't as serious as the last one I did.
This is more of an "experimental run", to show what happens if you skip more than one Objective on any map. In fact, you can skip as many as you like, so long as you don't starve! It's a good thing you can clear Survival if you don't feel comfortable doing certain objectives.
You can show others this video if they're worried they have to do everything for Objectives if it's their first time playing Survival in Trepang2.
I thought I put on the regular Gold Skin for my weapons this time just for the fun of it, along with Accents - Yellow for my player outfit. Between regular Gold and Gold Foil (Reward for completing Survival on Extreme difficulty), I prefer the regular one. The Gold Foil is more like Gold Leaf, which I believe is supposed to be like Gilding your Gold if you know what I mean.
Word of advice: don't suffer through Survival Extreme if you only goal is to just unlock Gold Foil. Unless you want to use console cheats to disable Cheats block progression of course for the sole purpose of seeing what it looks like, before you try and get it legit like what I did eventually!
The other thing for this run is showing off both Infinite Focus and Cloak, which are rewards for doing some of the Campaign Missions on the hardest difficulties. Infinite Cloak is unlocked by completing Site 14 on Extreme, while Infinite Focus is unlocked by completing Oil Rig on Rage Mode. Both aren't too bad if you got the right gear and have experience, but be prepared to spend a lot of time in there if you're not ready.
Having these Cheats is "sorta like" if you make Trepang2 into Superhot. Actually, that would be a cool Cheat Code if, "Time moves only when you do!" Not sure if that will get approved for an idea, but something I thought of while doing this quick run.
If you want to see all of Trepang2's weapons in both Gold and Gold Foil skins, you can checkout the weapons skins video I posted a while ago. But for this run, I stuck with explosive Heavy Weapons like the Grenade Launcher to see how fast I can clear Survival on just Normal. Perhaps this "could be" a strategy for harder difficulties to nuke certain maps fast to avoid dealing with the tougher foes?
In regards to showing off more animated weapon skins, I think I'll revisit some Campaign Missions to take a break from recording Survival runs after I do my Lacquer Survival Very Hard run. There's a few I want to do, like giving the Cultists a chance and playing through the Jorvik Castle mission. And there's a Breach Charge trick you can do in Crash Site to unlock weapons to help you out!
