Don't focus pulling for her. I didn't aim for her banner but from all of my other gacha moments I was able to get her max awakened and at 5*. However she is a great unit to have for sure for spear offense and defense.

To be fair, Tressa is insaaaaaane in the original Octopath xD Hired Help, Donate BP, and all the free money too - there's a reason she's a fan favorite in casual runs as well as a staple for all the single-story speedruns!

Tressa was, wrongly enough, the best dd in the OG game..with the worst story of all the chara (together with the Therion one). So..thank GOD they nerfed her, here. She was way to op in the OG game. Absolutely ridiculous.

Was Tressa good in the original Octopath? She was one of the units i never used alongside Therion. Primrose, Oberon, Alfyn and either Cyrus or Ophelia were my go to’s

Tressa was an excellent unit. Access to free money via her passive as you walked around, on top of the Merchant class natively having some of the most broken moves in the game - Hired Help is a massive damage tool (staple for speedrunning), and is even great on casual runs for the super cheap defense boost, and Donate BP is insanely powerful.

These videos are going to be a great resource if I choose to stick with this game thank you very much for making them. One suggestion is maybe not compare the units to the original game as heavily. I never played it and you basically gave a caveat to every single point that it's not as good as the original. That information doesn't tell me anything though, because her current form should be balanced for this game, not that game. At the end of the video you said that she isn't bad had "amazing" skills and "fantastic break initiator" but that's the information I needed at the start not the comparisons. Still great video!

Yes. there have been a Bravely Default collab, Nier collab & Triangle Stratagy collab thus far in JP. Those first 2 had 3 units to pull on. Nier was 9S, A2 & 2B I think.

Weapons/Armor/Accessories are kept forever. This isn't really a problem for Weapons/Armor since you will always just use the strongest ones that will appear at the top of the selection menu. For Accessories I will admit it CAN get a bit annoying to try to scroll through hundreds of accessories to find the one you want.

If you roll 200 times (so 20x 10rolls) on a single banner, you get 200 tokens which can be traded in the Exchange for the banner character. The tokens do not carry over between banners.

This might be a stupid question but can you only cast as single heal on a character in the front row? It seems that everytime i tap to heal someone in the back row it casts the heal on the unit in front.

Yes the Heal targets the row itself, so in order to heal a unit in the back, you have to swap them to the front first.

Are the OG characters limited? I got Lynette 5 * and Devin 4* and I kinda want to have 1 or 2 better units cause everyone else are 3 *. So should I pull for any units on the current banners or should I save? 🤔

the OG characters are not limited. There are only a handful of Limited characters, and the first one will probably be coming out in a couple months or so.

I think that if you want to look for a few more units to round out your composition, now is a good time to do so, since the Step-Up banner has discounted rates. You don't necessarily need to pull all 5 steps, just pull as much as you feel you need.

Yes, filling up your roster to a full 8 units should definitely be a top priority. Most players are going the starter 5* + 3 freebies (Traveler's Sacred Seals) + 10-roll for 300 Rubies. Hopefully in those Rubies you can get another 5* to bring with Viola, but even just Viola is already a great start! Good luck!

I got super lucky and pulled her on my second multi I really like her. So I had a question about awakening since I can't seem to find any info on this. For awakening tiers do you have to pull a dupe of her like 3 more times? Or is there another way to awaken without rolling dupes?

Awakening is only done by rolling dupes. That being said, the game isn't balanced around having Awakening so stuff can be done without rolling any dupes; they're basically just quality of life upgrades.

I have a question about healing? So you cannot heal your characters outside of battle? They have to go in the back row to heal or am I missing something?

Characters cannot be healed outside of battle, correct. They can go in the backrow and get regen each turn, you can cast Heals on them in battle, or you can Fast Travel back to the Inn (it always costs a static 20 Leaves, so you'll always be able to access it). Also, in dungeons, there will be Healing Torches right before bosses that you can use to Heal back to full right before the big fight. The torch is 1-use only, and is replenished if you use an Inn.

They do not scale to your level, and I recommend going through all of the Chapter 1s first, then each of the Chapter 2s and so on!
