Great videos, heaps of different trains and shots. Your so called “scraps” I find really interesting, so don’t stop!! Well done.

Well I don’t know what the driver has taken for us over the last 12 or 13 months, so maybe we will get a few surprises when I get his latest offering.

Great video. Brilliant location you have for a rail-fan. Especially liked the side-by-sides. Keep up the good work. Metro tunnel changes coming soon.

Thanks. I did not know if the viewers would see this video as a pile of rubbish, but obviously it has gone well. I thought it had some good scenes. Let’s see what Metro brings...

As an American, I think Australian passenger trains look great. I wish our passenger trains still looked more like this. There's nothing like fluted aluminum passenger cars, with straight sides!

Perhaps you should book a holiday. Hope you are not disappointed!

Got plans for shooting new video footage? I'd love to see some city-bound driver's view videos!

A new Sydney train source is promising while I expect some new Melbourne footage early next year. Unfortunately no Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth drivers have come forth yet.

The Ghan loco was doing shunting between Tottenham yard and Dynon yard
@tressteleg15 жыл бұрын
There are several Ghan locos which are used for any old job when otherwise they are not needed for the Ghan. It just looked odd.

Oh yeah, running backwards

Good Video👍 But one question. Why are the workshops for the Ghan in Melbourne and not in Adelaide?
@vincentweatherly99915 жыл бұрын
They do servicing in Melbourne and when it gets transferred, it gets attached to a goods run
@tressteleg15 жыл бұрын
The operators of the Ghan and Indian Pacific own no locomotives as far as I know and I think it is Pacific National who supplies the locos as required. I don’t know if those 2 trains always have the special locos on the front but expect that they do most of the time. As I said before, the locos are used for other duties when not required for the special trains.

scraps? thought so. still interesting. what on earth is that thing that i initially thought was a boom gate which leaves the screen to the left at 21:24?
@tressteleg15 жыл бұрын
Some of the ‘scraps’ were mini clips recorded by the driver and the rest were excerpts from longer runs, some seen before and others from scenes not used. I have no idea what the thing is at 21:24 and in fact never noticed it before.

Awesome Video Mate I know some people like your video or not.For me the video is really great and I never seen a freight trains with cargo like this before where freight trains going to?
@tressteleg15 жыл бұрын
At Werribee, from Adelaide or Perth. Sunbury and Craigieburn lines to/from Sydney or Brisbane but some may have been headed for major freight depots along the way.

I’M NOT A MELBOURNE DRIVER. I DO NOT LIVE IN MELBOURNE. YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE WHAT I GET. WHY DON’T YOU TAKE SOME RAW VIDEO FOR ME AND I WILL PUT IT UP UNDER YOUR NAME!

tressteleg1 Ok I’m sorry about that I know you upset with me but I agree with you but how I do it?
@tressteleg15 жыл бұрын
If you don’t have a digital video camera, try out your mobile phone. Start practicing tomorrow on any train line. Look for good angles to shoot from - bridges - opposite platforms etc. Hold your camera very steady. Only rotate it very slowly. Do not wave it about like a torch in the night. But if you are fairly close to a train racing past, lock your camera onto a certain part of the train and rotate the camera around quickly while staying on that part of the train. Avoid, if you can, shooting into the sun, but sometimes it is impossible to avoid. HOLD YOUR CAMERA HORIZONTALLY - ON ITS SIDE! Not vertically which makes a tall narrow photo! Questions??
