Trethevy Quoit (pronounced Tre-thee-vee Qw-oy-t) is a huge dolmen in Cornwall and is thought, in legend, to be the home of a giant. It is a 'portal dolmen' that is made up of five standing stones holding up a massive capstone at the top weighing over 20 tons. It is located in St Cleer, close to Bodmin Moor and the Hurlets Stone Circles. The hole carved in the capstone is a mystery. Was it used for astronomical observations, or was it a 'soul hole' where the soul of the dead would travel through to reach the stars? Its overall appearance has changed little since 1598 when it was described as being "a little howse raysed of mightie stones, standing on a little hill within a fielde." However, at some point the giant capstone slid off and is still there today. Includes exclusive aerial footage.

I've had a feeling since a small child that stone is conscious or alive. Seventy years later I still have that sensation. Perhaps there is a reason the ancients built with stone when wood or mud brick would have been so much easier.

If guy cared he would have passed the knowledge. Actually, I've seen video where an engineer or someone figured Coral Castle method out with what was left and photos was quite convincing he had perhaps duplicated it.

I think its thought to be possible by manipulating the frequency emited by the stone to alter is state and weight. But how thats physically done im not sure. I've heard a story of a man that once claimed to have witnessed a large multiple ton stone bieng levitated by the harmonic single tone chant of an aboriginal culture and carefully fixed it in place meters off the ground like it was weightless. Just an old story but interesting. The man that built coral castle was supposedly witnessed constructing the site by children who said he used small tools like looked like ice cream cones to move the stones. There many findings of small cone shaped stone tools found at alot of ancint sites across egypt which I think is fascinating 🤔

I once visited Stone Henge for the first time and I felt an energy! I asked those that were with me if they felt the same but they denied it! On reflection I thought that the visitors walking around the monument might have been causing some kind of electro magnetic energy! I've been since and experienced the same feeling.

It looks like there are remnants of carvings on a few of the stones but have eroded away. If so, those stones were put there a VERY LONG time ago. Great video! Thanks for sharing

That Capstone used to be horizontal and the Giants would use it as a giant carving table and the blood would run down that hole into a bucket. Then underneath the table you could store live animals for when you are ready to carve them up.

My theory: The hole is to hold the knife that was used by the big person who built the cleaning table, skinning, butchering and probably some sacrifices. Butchers block/Alter for sacrifices. The stones are not in there rightful place. They were moved around a bit during a massive flood. Just my theory.

Hugh - have you wondered why the capstones on ALL these monuments appear to be at a slope? Has anyone measured the slopes, and what they are orientated to?

50 or 60 tons, really if you know what it's made of you can measure it's cubic capacity then you will know exactly,5 ton max.most of these were rebuilt by antiquarians back in the day, like the one near hardys monument and even West kennet, fact is we have no idea. Just a few hundred years ago we went round rebuilding everything how we believed it should be,same at karnac lot of rebuilding relatively recent.stonehenge classic example.they did this Hugh for a reason, you think hillfort /burys were always covered in trees.take ley lines, surveying skills maybe not majic powerlines, man creates the lines with his skill, knowledge of something.a connection to earth a connection.we have almost lost that connection.time it was revealed mate you keep showing it.peace

My theory about Soul Holes is that they are just a way of putting your ancestors bone through once you finished with them. It would be much easier than opening it up every time somebody in the community dies.

structures like this make me believe that myths like the Nephilim giants could have some shred of truth that they existed. how would our ancestors be able to create something like this. moving 2 ton slabs of stone and piling them on each other like building blocks. fascinating stuff.

Inbreeding among the first waves of immigrants from Ararat caused the giants to be weak and stupid. Easily overwhelmed by the later wave of seagoing invaders.
