I'm the mama of an incoming freshman and I've now watched your sweet video several times, pausing frequently to guesstimate measurements (this exhausted brain of mine needs a good plan going in!!) ;) Thank you for making this video and for having such a positive and sweet nature! Quick question: you said the room is 16 feet deep, 17 feet wide. Are those measurements exact? If so, what's to stop the beds both going lengthwise down that open wall, end to end with desks beside them? 16'= 192"....an xl mattress is 80" long. If you add an extra 12" per bed to account for space taken up by head/footboards (I'm just guessing here), you're at approx 184" total length so a bit to spare, still. The desk hutch on the window side of the wall would cover up the mirror, but that could be compensated for in other ways. Is there something I'm not considering? I'm a bit clueless to how wide the desk actually is so that may throw a kink in all of this. Anyway, Thank you! Good luck on your new campus...you'll be an amazing ray of light in whatever field you choose!!
