For once, I see outfielders crashing. I love 'don't come back to the dugout, go wait in the parking lot". 😅 I did get picked off at third after hitting a triple. The old 3rd baseman playing back tip the cap to the pitcher, back door pick. Like the only time in my career I ever got picked off. I was so embarrassed. After I back spinned a high fastball of the top of the wall.

It almost looks like he realized, "Oh !@$# I gotta get to the bag" and started running to second. Like running the wrong way on a pickoff throw. And getting picked off by a leftie can happen to the best base stealers. I remember Shohei Ohtani got picked off by Clayton Kershaw in an All-Star Game. And on the next pitch, Kersh struck out Aaron Judge.
@mastercko15 күн бұрын
Not that this is exclusively a skill only he can do or anything, but I think that this is because Kersh has a very devious delivery when someone is on 1st. I remember him having an interview or something where mentioned how extensively he has worked on his pickoff move to catch runners completely off guard.

I pitched from little league to highschool and at age 13 I played travel baseball for coaches that played college or pro. But I also threw left-handed as well but you are taught as a pitcher to create a 45 degree angle from first base to the dugout. But also his right foot cannot go past the pitching rubber or throw to first while stepping towards home plate. Now in the majors there are some lefties that has perfected this pickoff move and Andy Petite was probably the best that I have seen to do this pickoff move. Now also as pitchers you are taught to lull the base runners to sleep and make the runner think that the pitcher has forgotten about the runner. There are times where pitchers are not throwing to first to pick off the runner they do it so that the runners can't get a big lead. Because when you make the runner get a short lead well then you might get a double play out of it. So that's what you are taught as a pitcher

Idea for a future video Matt: Will Venable will be the new manager of the White Sox and I believe he was a teammate of yours. Do you have any stories about him? Do you still chat with teammates from your playing days?

As long as Randy Levine, Brian Cashman, and Boone are in charge, nothing will change. Their best chance of stealing a WS was this year with the Dodgers depleted with injuries but they blew that opporunity.

Yankee fan here. They absolutely deserve all of this. A horrible postseason full of Little League mistakes.

Another Yankee fan here and you are completely right!!! They fed all the Yankees haters generously with their putrid play!!! They deserve massive and unmerciful ridicule and derision! I am only just now getting to the point of wearing my Yankees hats out again in public even though making it to the World Series regardless of whether you win it all should normally be a cause for fan pride. Nope the Yanks blew it miserably and got out-classed, outsmarted and outplayed by the better Dodger team. I believe based on talent Yankees were close to Dodgers but in terms of strategy, coaching, hustle, training managing and baseball IQ, the Dodgers schooled them, big time!

I think you were the one that told us that the scouting report on the Yankees was that they were “talent over fundamentals” and players were instructed ti play fundamentally solid and with fir them to shoot themselves in the foot.

@@byronhorde5892 Dodgers were good enough to beat any team in a best of 7. The only team that beast them in a best of 7 is the Padres. Dodgers beat them in a best of 5 cause NLDS.

@PANCHO15108 ... in reference to the World Series, I wouldn't be talking about any team on the NL side. Additionally, it seems that this channel is finding many mistakes made by the Yankees (I didn'tpay attention to the postseason, by the way). Granted, they made it to the end, despite making so many mistakes. If the Yankees didn't make it to the postseason, to face the Dodgers in the end, would that team other team had committed so many mistakes? Of course, we will never know. Not sure if I explained that correctly enough, but... oh well.

@byronhorde5892 nah I Feel you. I think Dodgers had enough pitching wise. But I do believe they beat any AL team that made the 24 playoffs.
