Update to the video - TikTok has canceled all TikTok shop users who have affiliate with less then 5k followers so in short, now you HAVE to have 1k followers (as per last update to requirements) ....period. But the end is not lost just keep active and post 1 to 2 videos a day, stay positive and keep to a nitch market, try not to exceed 2 video's a day, doesn't matter what time you post as long as you just post! Have a awesome ride. PS- this is in consideration if TikTok gets banned next year as of the recent events in the US.

I made this mistake too! Turns out we have to disconnect our Seller Account from our regular account. Then it takes about 24 hours for them to approve you to be an affiliate.

Or save everyone time and make an updated video about this because your video shows how to by pass the old way but it also shows you going to the marketplace and that's not available unless you have 10,000 followers??? I set up a seller account thinking that is what to do to be a TT Shop Affiliate. Then I was told by customer service that it is a seperate process and that a person cannot have their own shop and also be an affifliate. So, do I shut down this empty shop, wait the manadatory 30 days, and then apply to be an affiliate?? TT Customer service is literally worthless. I have spent hours trying to figure it out, chatting with customer service, and when they dont have the answer, they create a ticket and then nothing happens.

The loop hole method does not work. You have to have 5000 followers to get into the program

I'm sorry I think you misunderstood. The number of followers is not the issue...The account I am trying to do this on has 5000 followers, that is not the issue I am speaking about.

@@TrevinPeterson when i wrote empty shop, I am referring to the seller account with no items to sell, because I have nothing to sell, I am saying that I never wanted a shop of my own, The seller account and the user account are two different accounts, two different websites. they can be linked, but they are two different accounts. I wanted to be a tiktok shop affiliate
