Most had to wait until 90125 because he was in South Africa and mostly unknown to the rest of the world. It is not like a lot of South African musicians are well-known elsewhere.

This was during that awkward phase between Yes (Chris Squire/Trevor Rabin, Alan White , Tony Kaye) and Anderson Bruford, Wakeman & Howe fighting over rights to call themselves "Yes." Trevor was like "F#ck it, i'm doing a solo album."

Most people will never even have heard his name, must less give him the full credit that he deserves for resurecting Yes from the scrap heap of history (outside of the legacy Yes fans). Do you think that if 90125 wouldn't have been released (or "Love Will Find A Way") that the vast majority of listeners to popular music would have cared about Yes? Trever picked-up that band and NO doubt helped them along their way to fatter pay checks. Andf I say that as a HUGE prog rock fan, and one who knows and understands legacy Yes addicts. But Steve Howe didn't make Yes a household name like Trever did. No comparison. Steve's biggest commercial/household name project was Asia (whom I also love).

I wore out this CD in the late 80s. This one and Wolf. Rabin is an amazing guitarist. I had all of his solo albums. The brilliant Lou Molino III played drums on this album along with Alan White.

I've admired Trevor's playing, since I was a kid... When I was in the Army, and stationed in Korea, I purchased Yes's "90125".... and for me, that became the definitive YES. Just beautiful melodic rock... the way it should be played. I'd talk about Trevor's playing to other YES fans in my Army unit, and they told me about a guy named Steve Howe...I said "Steve WHO?"

So, when did Trevor play with YES. Some of the chords sound so much like a couple of Yes tunes. Love will Find a Way, and Rythym of Love for example. He is definitely a great guitarist. This song brings back good sex memories. On the roof of a highrise in Detroit. Nothing but us, the stars, the city lights, the warm summer breeze and this Trevor Rabin song. Hell yeah baby. I WAS young and fearless and beautiful!!! Rockin' the Motor City like it was meant to be rocked!!

Seen Rabin had a new single out (2023) and it remided me of this tune. Haven't heard this since the early 90's! I definitely have to revisit his earlier stuff. You can really hear the Yes 90125/Big Generator sound here 😊👍👏

Jack Cole No, I drool every time one pops up on E-bay. Way too expensive. I do have the pearl "regular" X300 Pantera and a X275, though. I took the X300 to the local Guitar Center and showed the manager. I didn't think he was going to give it back. He couldn't believe I had found one. I did find a Villian in great condition with the Modulus neck, but believe it or not the neck is badly bowed. I've read they never do.

Chris said in his opinion Trevor’s up there with Hendrix and Harrisson. Listen to “A Croak & a Grunt in the Night,” and you get an idea why Chris would’ve said it. I think Trevor’s as good as if not better than Brian May, and I love Brian May’s guitar playing.

Chris has gone on record and said Tevor's a better than Steve Howe hands down and that the difference betweent the two is that Trevor can play all of Steve's parts from classic Yes pretty much to a "T", but Steve can't perform Trevor's parts with nearly the same aplomb.

Had a gf at the time cut it to cassette for me. Great CD. I liked his era of Yes perhaps more so than the original/classic lineup of Anderson/Bruford/Wakeman/Howe/Squier. Just perhaps.

I saw this video 30 years ago at my grandma's house and I rememberd the "friendly clown" at the end. For years I thought it was Paul McCartney because the memories became foggy. "I never said that it was easy. But I need to make you see!" I always wondered what my guardian/guiding angel looks like. Now I now :-)

I'll never forget 1975 (I think) Steve Howe quit Yes just before their scheduled tour. I had front row tickets and way WAY pissed.. This youngster named 'Rabin' was hired to fill in just weeks before the show, drinking age in LA was 21 at the time and the University almost didn't let him play. But make it in anyway... He was less than 15 feet from me while performing.- Hi hit every signature lick, and totally blew everyone away! A true guitar virtuoso!! Best thing that ever happened to YES...

My ex husband, Matt, looked exactly like Trevor. Same hair, body build, all of it. And he was a very talented guitarist. (Just an asshole of a husband!) BUT, OMG, when he played and sang this, I'd be putty. I really loved that man, but I think Trevor is a much nicer person. Anyway, as with all conceited asshole musicians, Matt's hair fell out, so, its cool!
