Failed To Send Text Message In Android

Thank you for your clear and to the point instructions. I hope it worked for me since I thought my phone was hacked, and still could be. My cousin said she was getting weird messages from someone and knew it wasn't from me. But also my messages weren't sending, but not all the time, just randomly. I tend to keep my messages, so I could see this helping. The hacked thing is probably another story. Anyway thanks for your help.

My mom and I have had issues since the RSC (I think that's it?) messages started being a thing. It will ask if you want to resend as an SMS for me, for her it says failed, so she then presses retry like 15 times and I get her one message like 16 times. It's so frustrating! Sometimes the messages say sent, sometimes they say delivered. Some show orange and others blue. I have no idea what she gets or not and the distress it causes her because she is elderly is upsetting. Never thought I would miss the old Nokia bricks, or the low tech flip phones...

I've always heard to clear cache, but if you clear your data, it will delete all the existing texts. Isn't that right?

I just can't send to one specific contact (at least that's all I've discovered so far.) He can send to me but I can't respond. Immediately gives "Trouble sending" response. Galaxy A53. Just started happening. none of these tips resolved it.

Same with my nana she texts my dad and gets a message blocking is active text right away but he didn't block her. So weird
