To any aspiring pilots, this is spot on. I went to a great trainer but sold myself short on time and have experienced every issue talked about in this video. I'm the type of person that catches on quickly and easily to everything I do. Kiting took about 30 minutes to figure out my left from right while reversed but then I progressed nicely. However weather did not cooperate and I managed only 1 flight during training and crunched for time, so I went home with confidence but then the mistakes pile up. I was over confident and this sport very quickly humbled and kinda scared me. Oscillations coming in to land turned into butt landing after butt landing. The motor on my back was very intimidating and these things all added up and basically cost me a full season of flying. I trained in April that year and only took 13 flights. Something clicked the 2nd season and I had around 70 flights and now on my 3rd and cannot fly enough. Just advice from someone who has been there and had setbacks, don't sell yourself short on training, make time and don't be in a hurry. This is different from anything you will ever do.

I appreciate your humility and bravery in expressing these experiences you had. Good lessons for life, I figure, not just for doing a para-motor flight!

I went to super training, not structure. The first time I put a motor on was when I flew it. No weather or air law training. The first time dell mentioned landing was on the radio when landing. Trevor you got it going on. Looks very professional

Really solid training Trevor!! I had to teach myself because over 20 years ago there were no instructors …. If I had to teach someone, this would be the way to do it.

What a great video. I went to Texas to get my training by a guy named Trevor as well. I sure wish he would have trained me this why. What a great class. Stay Classy!

Using the equipment with eyes closed is a pre-requisite for all activities. These guys unlocked the human skills' cheat code = repeat until you build muscle memory. I recently taught myself bouzouki this way. And I tell my kids = smart is he who can repeat the same task x1000 times.

I have almost 40 hours now but still need practice on basic things like landings. My landings are still terrible. Flying is the easy part.
