Thanks for explaining things thoroughly, it helps because I've never binded an Align heli to a Spektrum transmitter. In a lot of tutorials people skip over certain details and assume the viewer knows about those!

Thanks for the setup video, helped me get my basics to setup my new 150 DFC to my Spektrum DX6 radio. At first I found the cyclic's to be very slow and sluggish and found info on adjusting the rate pot from the default lowest setting (looks like set at 8 o'clock postion and set to 12 o'clock position), I may yet increase the cyclic's as it seems still a little slower than my other heli's. However, I'm having problems getting my tail dialed in. It does not feel locked and noticed that it has quite a bit of drift. I've only hovered a couple times in Normal Mode and per video had the Gyro set at 50%, I also have tried increasing the settings (tried 52%, 55%, 60%, and 65%). The tail still does not feel locked in and I'm not sure what else to set. I can try to keep increasing the Gyro above the 65%. I also notice a small amount of tail wag right out of the box, even when the gyro rate set at 50%, but didn't notice any increase with the tail wag even up to 65%. I'm mainly wanting to get my tail to feel locked in so I can have confidence in controlling my brand new heli (rec'd yesterday afternoon). So far my other heli's are a Blade Heli's (Nano CPX, MCPX V2, MCPX BL, 130X, 180 CFX, and a 300 CFX), so far the tails on those heli's have been very responsive and feel locked in, (except for the MCPX V2) that encounter's occasional tail blowouts with flips. This is my first Align FBL heli and if I'm able to get my 150 DFC dialed in and flying great, I would be interested in some of the other Align Heli's like the 250 DFC, 450 Plus DFC and/or the 450L Dominator. And later move to the larger ones as my skills and confidence get better. Anyway, any help with getting my 150 DFC getting its optimal setup would be great. BTW - I haven't changed anything on the Gain Pot, looks like default is 12 O'clock position. What will the gain pot control? Will that help get the tail to feel more locked in vs the gyro settings on my TX? Thanks, Joe Roanoke, VA

Assign Gyro to your Gear Channel and then use about 70% gyro gain. Adjust as needed to your head speed.

can't get my trex 150 to bind with a spectrum DX6i… trying to bind it with a spektrum spm9645 dsmx sat receiver with no success. any tips to get to work with a DX6i transmitter

Pitch at 70 70 gives more than enough pop for me. Also if you run more than 12 degrees you can load up the rotor system.

Do you have to leave the dsmx satellite in the helicopter permanently after binding or can you unplug it and take it out?

Both settings will work, but the settings I provide for radio are direct out of the manual.

Well I have two flights on the heli after just binding it and when I move the rudder left or right the heli will not pirouette flat the tail kicks up and the nose goes down a bit in both right and left directions no matter if it's Normal, ST1 or ST2. Is there any adjustment I am missing?

Thanks for the help Jeff. I have a Dx7se which is DSM2... but at 11ms. Am I ok to leave it at 11ms? Also have run into a little problem with throttle on Normal mode. It won't shut completely off. Even though my normal curve goes all the way to 0, it still outputs a value of 1. Throttle hold shuts it off and when I arm throttle it stays off. It just won't stop when spinning. Any thoughts? Hi Jeff, when I bind my DX6i in DSM2 (with a DSMX receiver) I get one green and one red light on the main board - what does that mean? I didn't see this in the troubleshooting section of the manual. Also, I'm unable to get a bind on the main board with the DSMX binding procedures (the light is solid on the satellite system but not activating the actual board.) Any thoughts? Hi Jeff, thanks for your video. I would like to know if I can use sub trims on pitch servo son that I can set 0 degrees at 50% collective because my 150DFC is at 0 degrees at 40% pitch. Thank you.

don't use sub trim hold the set button after boot up and press until you pass the cyclic the fourth depression lets you set the zero point. You use rudder to make adjustments. Please check out the manual it show how to make this adjustment. But it is the 4th stage and then you move the rudder and all cyclic servos will move to adjust zero. So no sub trim.

i was still not getting two solid green led with my dx7, i have set it with the dx8 video setting, so i have try with the real spektrum dsm2, same problem, i read in a forum someone said for the dx6ie the gyro setting must be 75% and make sure no trim for the binding, and i finally got my two solid green light with the spektrum dsm2, so i try the orange r100 and it work perfectly fine also.

Most lilkely will have to use mode B in the JR Radio.
