No lie, I was trying to fight back the tears from the first chorus. I'm a man that has slowly faded away from the path of walking with my God Yah. I'm out here mixed up in this society that promotes a death culture amongst the black family. Being around places and faces that doesn't represent me has made me turn away from my once strong relationship I had with Yah. I just wanna say this performance you all did was something I needed to hear, it allows people like me to hear the voice of the most high during these times of struggle and so much misguidence in our personal lives. I recently came back to treys music as I would listen to it heavy back when I was on fire for The Lord. I fell off due to damage from the church I was attending then. Haven’t been the same. I’m 32, high as hell, and just trying to find purpose again and I come across this song I haven’t heard in 5 years. I stared into the sky and from my high soul I said “God you’re awesome.” This shook me and tears instantly started flowing. This same God I question and threw my fist at had me looking to such a beauitful sky and proclaimed His goodness. All because I put this song on randomly. This is the difference between music made for a culture vs music connected through the Holy Spirit.
